Trump has been far more erratic than first term. Constantly losing his train of thought. So there's a substantial cognitive decline for a man who wasn't the sharpest to start.

He's talked waffle for years. Whatever comes into his head. I think people are mistaking a combination of gross narcissism and profound ignorance as dementia. His personality flaws are bad enough, anyway, without even needing to bring dementia into the conversation.

Having been around dementia sufferers, and I'm sure many of ye have had similar experiences, but few if any would be in any fit state to riff in front of audiences for over an hour at a time. They wouldn't have been able to come up with that burn on Biden during the debates "I don't know what he just said, and frankly I don't think he does, either" on the spot. They'd confuse their son for their daughter, briefly think it's still 1987, and then have a little sleep. If you saw that look on Biden's face after that confused rambling that prompted Trump's jab, that is dementia. Staring off into the middle distance, vacant look on his face, not even aware what he said was nonsensical, probably couldn't have told you where he was in that moment.

I would say that if Trump was really suffering from dementia, you'd see a totally different power setup. He'd be hidden away far more, and his underlings would be far less afraid of him. As it is, he's still coming out and verbally attacking anyone he doesn't like.

Nah his insecurities are all about men. Trump has always looked cowered and emasculated any time he has met what arr considered to be the handsome charismatic leaders like Macron, Obama and Trudeau.

He would melt into a puddle if he had to be put opposite Barack Obama in a debate. Would be a totally different man to the one that bullied Clinton.
