Are you suggesting that if the Irish government had given the IRA tacit support, this would have given the British armed forces permission to bomb the Republic or even invade it? I can assure this would have been 100% illegal under international law.

Starmer getting heavily criticised in the UK for allowing the US to use their bases to attack Iran. Trump insulted him about 20 times this week and even now is saying it should have happened sooner. Plus mocking their war dead from Afghanistan etc and calling them cowards earlier today. He just looks utterly pathetic.

Trump says US considering winding down military efforts in war with Iran

President Donald Trump said on Friday the US was getting very close to meeting its objectives as it considers winding down its military efforts in the Iran war and called on countries that use Strait of Hormuz to guard and police it "as necessary." 

"The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it — The United States does not!," Trump said in a post on Truth Social."If asked, we will help these Countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated," he said.

"We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great Military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the Terrorist Regime of Iran: (1) Completely degrading Iranian Missile Capability, Launchers, and everything else pertaining to them. (2) Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base. (3) Eliminating their Navy and Air Force, including Anti Aircraft Weaponry. (4) Never allowing Iran to get even close to Nuclear Capability, and always being in a position where the U.S.A. can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation, should it take place. (5) Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern Allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others," Trump said.

The actions of an authoritarian, theocratic regime really shouldn't be a benchmark against which the actions of "The Only Democracy in the Middle East" and the "Leaders of the Free World" are judged but ok. I guess the killing of a disproportionate number of innocent Iranians is just incidental in the process of waging an illegal war. Similarly, with the disproportionate killing of innocent Lebanese people is incidental in the process of yet another invasion by an aggressor. Similarly with the disproportionate killing of Palestinian people, in yet another attempt to commit ethnic cleansing, and this time around possible genocide is just incidental in the process of expansionism. You should consider your own musings on rationality.
