I wonder how this will play out…

“WATCH: In a jaw-dropping statement, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi announced his acceptance of a POPULAR MANDATE to lead a TRANSITIONAL GOVERNMENT post-Islamic Republic. He has also urged Arab partners in the region to RECOGNISE the transitional government of the Iranian people.”

No, it's the USA also, and all the other Western, war monger countries that assist the Massacres.

so you’re also blaming Israel for America’s role in this war…🤔

America is the worlds most militarily powerful, as well as economically and politically the most influential. But let’s blame Israel Israel Israel..

One could argue if it weren’t for Americans backing Israel, Israel wouldn’t have began this current campaign….

Unless and until he can make such a request from a balcony in Tehran, and isn't opposed by violent resistance within Iran?
Any such request Pahlavi makes is about as effective as me claiming to be the ruler of a Sovereign Munster and seeking the support of my neighbours in such a claim.
    It's meaningless grandstanding.

We’ve spent time discussing it as you first questioned the legitimacy of the video, then the source of it, then finally moved onto “maybe it wasn’t the IDF”.

I will openly condemn any attack by Iran, Hamas, Israel and the US on civilians and have done so across multiple threads.

I’ve advocated consistently that there is no “good vs bad” in this war.

Others cannot seem to do the same it’s pro Israel all the way and any criticism is met with deflection, refusal to respond and desertion from the thread for a period of time. The same can be said of anti semitic posters, all just bad faith posters with no understanding of nuance.

I asked for confirmation of the current affairs event as otherwise we are just going around discussing conspiracy theories and furthering propaganda, and to their credits poster rapidly confirmed it and I thanked them, we still don’t know who fired that missile or shell in the video

If you don’t want to stick to facts and want to just spend the thread moaning about Israel or wounded Russia Today crisis actors that’s your choice, they and US sure have plenty to be criticised about, but it doesn’t change the fact that Iran and their band of terrorist groups are not saints either and as per Reuters report higher up have now killed Palestinians with cluster bombs

    It is interesting.

The key ask is of Arab partners. The likes of Qatar may be open to this, given they have been attacked repeatedly by the current Iranian regime.

    I am confused.

The only massacres in Iran were the 33,000 killed by their own regime.

How is that the fault of the US and other Western countries?

I remember some of the same rhetoric when the healthcare workers were murdered and buried in the desert alongside their ambulances. I didn't think people could completely turn off their objectivity.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

    They lied to us about:

    - Iraq

    - Afghanistan

    - Syria

    - Libya

    - Vietnam

    - North Korea

    - Venezuela

    - Guatemala

    - Honduras

    - Haiti

    - Cuba

    - Panama

    - Nicaragua

... But they're telling the truth about Iran.

Read my post again and show me where I stated or even alluded in any way shape or form that Iran were saints.

They have committed war crimes, atrocious crimes against humanity in murdering protestors and attacking civilian regions.

I just wish posters that shut down any criticism of the IDF/Israel could remove their blinkers and not just be shills. Maybe try level the same criticism at Israel/IDF that they do about Hamas/Iran/Hezbollah when all parties have committed war crimes.

These guys should have converted to judaism and then declared themselves as settlers.

Israel's supreme court has backed the state’s position and will allow it to deport the asylum seekers, who are not Jewish, back to Ethiopia.

“There are approximately 8,000 Ethiopian nationals that Israel intends to deport, about 1,000 of whom are from the Tigray region,” Gilad Palombo, the public advocacy director for Assaf, an aid organisation for refugees and asylum seekers in Israel, told Middle East Eye.

Sure, but also remove Syria, Libya, North Korea and maybe Haiti. Arguably Afghanistan. I don't know what this list is supposed to be.

I see Bibi has denied Donnie was dragged into the war due to Israel. What's that saying about never believing anything until it is officially denied. The Joe Kent interview must have struck a nerve.

So you made up a statistic. OK. That's quite a departure from your preceding post, which said :

Ah come on, can we fact check stuff before posting? Or provide a link at the very least.

I was genuinely curious where that stat came from, as it would be interesting to see how it would have been compiled.

The June 2025 attacks were essentially a solo Israeli attack, which the US augmented with one mission. That is not remotely like the current joint-from-the-start campaign.

The Israelis would have serious logistical problems with targeting areas beyond North Western Iran. It's a matter of geography, aircraft range, and the geopolitical reality of where they can route their missions. The Americans have much broader capabilities, with long-range bombers (B1, B2, B52) as well as a considerably bigger tanker fleet to enable their carrier-based aircraft, as well as any other locally deployed aircraft, to reach further targets. Obviously, the Americans have a considerably larger overall air force (and the USN is the second most capable air force, after the USAF). And that's before we go into the logistics of supplying the ordnance being used (Nobody is better than the US at logistics).

Do you have any links to show that the Israeli's are mainly conducting precision strikes versus the US conducting "mass" bombings? The one strike that everyone knows that the Americans conducted used one of the original precision weapons, the Tomahawk missile (which the Israelis do not have in their arsenal). I'm not aware of the Americans conducting any "Mass" bombings, so I'd be interested to see where this information is coming from.

It is more accurate to believe the opposite when it comes to Israel

'We did not slaughter all those children' = we did

'We did not drag the US into attacking Iran' = we did

'We are not committing genocide against the people in Gaza' = we are

errm, you know a refinery is not a power station, right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,700 ✭✭✭fly_agaric

Ha ha, oh my what a class jesuitical non answer. The RT mouth of Putin or Russian entertainer (going with the Fox defence) is not a soldier and he really didn't deserve what happened there, but no surprise sadly when the IDF are at the fire controls. They are a disgrace IMO (and have killed a good few real journalists over the years), "desert orcs" is an insult I recall being used.😯

Looks like Bibi is still around. He seems to be accepting that 'regime' change is out of the equation in Iran. Wanting to bypass the straits of Hormuz through pipelines through Saudi Arabia to Israel for transporting oil.

Interesting to see if Israel retaliate for the attacks on refinery in Haifa. So far Hezbollah are managing to slow Israeli ground incursions into Lebanon. Talks of rocket fire into Israel this evening from Syria. Last night reports of missiles being fired from Iraq.

The end of the war looks to be in the hands of Iran in terms of timing. They have their demands for ending the war including reparations and the lifting of sanctions plus concrete guarantees of no future military action from either Israel or the U.S.

Hard to see what future Israel as we know it now has. It is an international pariah. It can no longer guarantee the security of it's citizens from outside aggression. The Palestinian 'problem' isn't going away. Can they afford to pay reparations to Iran? Will their economy recover? Who funds the repair of war damage which by now, let alone what's to come, has to be extensive.

US / Israel playing good cop, bad cop.

"Trump has distanced himself from Israel’s attack on the gasfield. He claimed on Wednesday that Washington “knew nothing” about it

Netanyahu did not address whether Trump was made aware of the plan ahead of time

Israel previously claimed that the strike was coordinated with the US.

“Does anyone really think that someone can tell president Trump what to do?” he said"

Iran hangs 3 for protesing back in January.

    https://us.yahoo.com/news/articles/iran-hangs-3-including-teen-171348342.html

Iran is the world's most prolific executioner after China, according to rights groups. Last year it hanged at least 1,500 people, according to figures from Iran Human Rights.

Two sources confirmed to CBS News that Saleh Mohammadi, a young member of Iran's national wrestling team, was among the three men executed in Iran.

Rights groups said the trio were executed without a fair trial and had given confessions under torture.
