Oh yes forgot about that . Was that O:Flynn again ?

It's obviously the cross dressing / naked torsos that gets his goat 😂

‘Twas indeed, with the Lord Mayor refusing to entertain his nonsense -

The Lord Mayor added: “As a member of Cork City Council since 2004, as your brother and father had been before you had been, I am surprised that you don’t seem to be aware that this event has existed and why.

“It may be that you see a political advantage in highlighting something you have been very aware of and have chosen not to know about. I am quite happy to talk to you about these issues, but only in an atmosphere where cheap political points are not being sought.”

O’Flynn replied that these criticisms were “disheartening and unfounded.”

Funny how someone is trying to pin that disgusting float in the St Patrick's Day parade on 'the left'.

Coincidentally Ken hasn't a word to say about it though. I thought he was all about protecting mothers and children?

Spoofer. Like a lot of the anti-trans/drag clowns. F*ck all to say about issues that impact women every day of the week but when it comes to a tiny minority of the population, they're loud as anything.

It's in his constituency, but man, he must have relished the engagement potential. That's not even a map ffs - absolutely zero geographical context.

I take back what I said earlier about Ken being a humourless dryballs. It’s literally a politician claiming “I fixed the road”, doesn’t get more Irish than that 😂

The man has a keen sense of irony 😏

On a side-note, be a grand stretch for a naked bike ride (not me though, the locals might think a bison is after escaping from Fota Wildlife park on a bicycle 😖).

It's interesting that the worst of the vitriol is reserved for gay and lesbian people who are perceived to go against the interests of the LGBT community and the progressive mob generally. This is designed to keep dissidents in their place. As our old friend Voltaire put it, when talking about the Royal Navy punishing one of its admirals:

Mais dans ce pays-ci il est bon de tuer de tems en tems un Amiral pour encourager les autres.

It's pretty effective. On the other hand. Some of O'Flynn's council colleagures can only dream of the publicity that he gets when they post about the same things.

I dunno how you make out that’s in some way related to what happened in this circumstance though? Like it was Ken’s decision to make an example of Dublin Zoo’s promotion by making it out to be something it wasn’t, doing something it wasn’t - trivialising motherhood and missing the point of Mother’s Day or whatever-

Nobody engaged with the substance of the argument he was making, because it was nonsense. He was being criticised for that, he wasn’t being criticised because anyone remotely regarded him as representative of any community. I dunno what the point is you’re getting at, but it looks like you’re attempting to play the victim by proxy.

There’s no attempt to keep dissidents in their place, only whatever Ken was attempting to do by thinking he had enough influence to put Dublin Zoo in their place. FF were only too glad to be rid of him too when he decided after they hadn’t nominated him for a seat, that the party were a hotbed of homophobes -

No, it was mostly the "F*ggot Hill" post that suggested he was taking advantage in some way of that place name "for engagement" presumably because he is gay, whereas the councillor I quoted, who I'm guessing is not gay who also mentioned it, isn't accused in the same way.

I see Ken the great protector of women and children still hasn't said a dickie bird about the Ballinrobe parade.

Finger on the pulse, man of the people.

Honestly didn't think that was the case TBH. But it says a lot about the audience he appeals to when you glance at the 500 responses.
