@mbmbarosin, is it showing your Export and does it tally?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,176 ✭✭✭✭Heroditas

Yep they're the worst affected by all of this because every single one of their customers is on a smart plan. They need to be 100% certain with the data provided to them

Pinergy not showing export data for me. I'm new to Pinergy since start of this month so I don't know if that's usual for them in the app (I know EI didn't show export in the daily figures).

ThaThat's interesting, Im with EI and my daily export is there up to the 5th of course

that’s ESB Networks you are looking at. Not electric Ireland

    Elwctruc Ireland never show export

My reported daily usage data on Electric Ireland is wrong from around the 7th March onwards according to my solar system. From the 13th onwards the usage from EI is massively out - way more some days and way less others, but seemingly about a 30kWh difference in my favour (for now…). I just hope my daily exports have been recorded properly as the ESB site still hasn't the data to view to compare.

AApologies Yes thats Networks but EI do show the Export units on the bill

Interestingly my latest bill from flowgas is estimated. Despite having a smart meter. Wasn't one of the big selling points of smart meters meant to be no more estimated billing?

I presume the fault earlier this month has been rectified by now and it's unrelated

My Energia bill is due in the next few days, covering 20th Jan to today. Expect it'll be delayed as there's no usage data on Energia website since March 5th

This whole f**k up by ESBN seems to be a bigger issue to unwind than everyone expected....

Got my flogas bill today, and while it says the readings are the actual readings (smart meter), my export is way off. Given the good weather of late, and the March 5th cut off from ESB, I reckon they've miss out on my recent exports. My calculations say i'd have 79kWh of export, but my bill only applied 38kWh for that period.

ThiThis has been my worry all along, I have 23kws exported on the 5th of March 248kws exported as of today per my App

It will all come out in the wash. What isn't in the bill this month will be in the next bill.

You would hope so , but hope is never a good strategy

I know this was released 5 days ago, but just to reassure people, it will get rectified eventually,

Undoubtedly,Im told the fix is in , but I and it would seem many are not seeing it or worse the Export amounts are incorrect.

ESB Networks is refusing to pay compensation to customers affected by a smart meter blunder, with householders now fearing they will get bills telling them they owe thousands of euro.

I think the "amended " bills will be fine, I worry about the Export/FIT figure

Bord Gais Energy has yesterday's smart meter reading now online. But not the export.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

Again its the export is my worry

Man the scare mongering is mad.

Compensation? for what? An error that never actually made it to an actual bill?

all the data is still there, If it missed this bill it will be in the next.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

Question, I agree the data is or should be all there, but why have we 2 posters who say, and I have no reason to doubt them. They have received bills with the incorrect FIT, if the data is there and easily retrievable and the meter readings are correct on their bill, why is the FIT wrong

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,108 ✭✭✭✭ted1

bill issued today and matches the readings from my solar system

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

    NNow That's good news

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,111 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Still showing 5th march on yuno

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 3,416 ✭✭✭Fingleberries

I read the article and thought the same - "Company refuses to pay compensation for something that no-one was out of pocket for".

But, fair play to the Indo, they got my advertising click for their article.

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 7,609 Mod ✭✭✭✭graememk

Possibly they were only given data to a certain date for export (eg 5th march)

Next bill will have it from the 5th of march to the next bill date.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 262 ✭✭KingCong

I got my Energia bill a couple of days ago, it matched what I was expecting from my solar system's numbers. Energia seem to have all the data now, you can even download the half hourly data on their web portal, but they still haven't re-enabled their online usage viewer and charts etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

If all customers were "static " that would be fine, but there will be many accounts closed and opened between any 2 billing periods. Granted its a small number relative to 2.3 million customers but not insignificant. Its good to hear that bills are issuing either correct export figures

Pop up message on the Yuno app says “We’re continuing to work with ESBN to resolve the smart meter data issue “

“App will update automatically as soon as the correct usage data is available “
