Executive Officer 2024 Competition (Nationwide)

A good few were placed from the external panel so that’s not 100 percent true. I asked my heo and was asked to be tagged. No update from anyone yet. Such a rollercoaster of emotions.

Hi, I just want to ask if anyone from this competition has dealt with any disruptions during the assessments and wasn't disqualified? I just did the 2026 tests and for one of them i had to yell out three times as my mother started loudly talking on the phone right outside of my door and i couldnt focus. Im heartbroken that i'll be disqualified as its classed as a major breach in the info booklet.

My camera didn't work for 2026 ones so iv no idea what will happen now

Definitely contact support. It shouldn’t have let you proceed without a camera. It wouldn’t even let me hit start without having my face in view for the room scan.

Congrats to you first of all. Just to understand how things work, were you in batch 16 or 17? Or since you are already in the service is there a separate batch or no batch at all for interdepartmental applications? I'm trying to get the logic where they stand and how they approach during hiring process.

in the service 14 months but applied for both CO and EO at the same time.

just did the vetting page now and it was super basic, just details like address, dob etc and send ID to pas.

I had expected to have to do 10 year work and past addresses bit but maybe that will follow later

It's very similar. To be honest I believe the questions were the same as last year but i can't prove it.

I did a rain dance this morning in hope that it will rain EO jobs this week. 😂

All panels seem to have gone on a go slow the last few weeks, same with any internal panels for various departments. Whatever the reason. Very annoying for all concerned, especially those here who are waiting for the call.

Even if you passed the interview, you have to be put into clearance for a role before panel closing on Friday 27th. Soul destroying to get this far and then time runs out!!

the interview was very structured and followed the capability framework, have your examples ready and it will be fine. Use the time at the end of the interview when they ask if you have any questions etc to add or reinforce anything you didn’t get across during the interview.

Anyone any update how many there gonna clear or been called yet
