Israel invades Lebanon. Again

It's hard to know what is the end game here.

If there is a eventual move against Hezbollah by the Lebanese army civil war will break out. That might suit some in Israel.

Israel wants total chaos in the region so it can capitalise on the weakness of others. Vile country with vile leadership but as long as Republicans are in power noone will stop them with their endless wars and murderous campaigns

It's almost blatant Israeli policy to have all their neighbours destabilised so they can dictate policy and control. Turkey will be next.

Its mental. I understand that Hezbollah are evil, but Israel's policy of levelling Beirut is like the UK deciding to carpet bomb Dublin in response to the IRA. And that would have been universally condemned had it happened.

Hezbollah must have some amount of compounds etc. amongst all the innocent bystanders.

Lebanon is such a sad story. Was once a beautiful and prosperous country. It's fallen so far.

It's sad indeed, screwed from every direction, straddled with the neighbours from hell.

Yes, they fully intend to redraw the territorial boundary of both countries (+ for Israel, - for Lebanon) just Like Russia did with Ukraine (+ for Russia, - for Ukraine). Hardly a pip out of the western countries about the Israeli move.
