It's disgusting and they are able to get away with this as well 😞 surely the bubble 🫧 has to burst

Taken friday, Holly bush still covered in berries. A sure sign of a mild winter just gone.

Despite the forecast yesterday and today were two lovely fresh spring days. Not a drop of rain and only a light breeze with some pleasant sunshine, a world away from what was forecast.

That's very strange. I'd expect the thrushes and blackbirds to take all those berries before Xmas. Is it a native Irish holly tree? The leaves don't look as "prickly" as I'd expect.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

A few outrageous showers at a game in South Ros, game was nearly called off at one stage, hailstones and very strong winds. Surprised I didnt hear thunder. Lots of squally showers around

pity those showers aren't breaking up as they cross the country, not a very nice day here in Meath, very strong wind, feels chilly and showers every 20 to 30 minutes. The land is still fairly wet but not as overly saturated as it was so maybe once we get some dry weather from Wednesday my garden could be cut next weekend.

Yes was just noticing some little red berries on my holly today ( must be the brighter light !) and thinking the same.

Beautiful day today here in North Dublin City , sunshining and calm but still cool .

Think the weather is good for this week mostly and forecast for next weekend looks very settled .

    🤞

Was out for a walk. It's grand in between the showers but the showers themselves are like mini storms. Hailstones here too.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Don't be fooled by that sun if it's out, it's baltic in that breeze.

The rain showers are also very heavy when they arrive.

    Thankfully not venturing far today.

Very heavy showers, hailstones, and very gusty in North Kildare. Some sunshine intermittently, but mostly grey since midday, and feels cold. Looking forward to the upcoming good spell.

Very gusty in wicklow and the wind is bitterly sharp. Cut a run short to just get home to the warm

Some nasty showers in Dublin today that get you soaked in 5 seconds. I’m sure lots of people got drenched including myself.

    Not calm at all !

Nearly got blown away like a certain character in a children's book this afternoon .

Very gusty Westerly and heavy showers scudding along . We were lucky though and got the sunshine between the showers .

complete write off of a day, not safe to leave house until Tuesday, -4 degrees feels like temperature is abhorrent

    Covering of hail. Cold wind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,511 ✭✭✭pad199207

Quite the hailstorm at the airport this evening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,778 ✭✭✭.Donegal.

I’m out every evening and tonight’s wind feels the coldest of this winter/spring. A few rumbles of thunder, some more hail and sleet showers.

Showery morning in north Longford. A lot milder than yesterday. I was out with herself yesterday for mother's day and man it'd skin ya. Much better today so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,944 ✭✭✭snowgal

raining here near Navan, hopefully after that passes it will be a drier nicer day. got caught out twice yesterday in massive hail showers, like someone above said, like a mini storm each time! hopefully a better week ahead….

Yeah mild day today Oscar, was over 9C leaving the house early this morning, rummaging along the rivers in the waders for a few hours with mist /drizzle and light rain on and off, breezy and blustery at times but good to be out. Got up to 13.1C and 11.7C atm.

Bit of rain tomorrow although amounts look small and then mainly dry spell possibly well into the weekend for many. Looing forward to the mild weather over the coming days and maybe up to 17C or so on Thurs ! Nights look cool in general with frost in a few places perhaps. It should give the land a good chance to dry out a bit.
