Again, no one will complain more, than Slot. He'll be 10 times as critical as everyone here, so it's a strange one. This play is not coming from him, driving him mental and players. Sometimes a group of players click, sometimes they never will.

and getting worse by the week. Whatever happens between games, it's not helping, the same issues are being repeated and getting more apparent by the week.

Coaching matters-this team looks poorly coached - probably over coached to the point that they are afraid to do anything off the cuff but nonetheless poorly coached.

The biggest indictment on Slot is midfield, that is the one area of the pitch unchanged from last season and they play together like they just met in the car park before the match. Watch us play, those 3 players don't play for each other.

MacAllister looks finished as a player - very sad to say as a lad who is only 27. But he looks like a reather unfortunate lad - that the miles on the clock are impacting him way more than it should. But his style of play , his tackles , the intensity of the Klopp years - he looks done, sad to say that for such a young great man.

Grav - doesnt seem to have the right mentalility - very disinterested for such a young player. Using it as an expression - but he is looking a bit Dutch - a bit lazy , happy with his lot , moving on. Done Liverpool - with Slot gone , he is gone I'd say. I'd say he loves Slot as a manager - as Slot is lazy himself.

The Dutch problem continue in the squad - Gak is muck and we all know VVD is finished.

Szoboszlai is too good for Pool and will move on. This Pool is muck - so he will not stay and he will have to wait around about 3 years for us to be right.

Wirtz is a fab player - but he is too slight and can't shoot properly - this passing it into the net and taps around the box is not working.

Allison is an incredible GK - but we all know he is not the same player post various injuries

Ekitike looks a serious player - but he seems to make poor choices or selfish choices in sure goalscoring situations - that card he got sums him up - a bit a French attitude problem. me me.

Frimpong is too slight - and and made of glass

Kerkez could be our worst signing ever.

Isak - downed tools at Newcastle - we got not much more at Pool. I'd say his attitude stinks - he turned up not fit - unforgivable for a pro at 100 million plus.

Konate is our best player at the club - but who knows who turns up with him. A bit French

Salah is way way past his best - done.

Haven't a clue how people are saying we have a good squad. Would you get a good 5 a side. A team to beat united. Not a hope.

By the way none of the officials spotting that THIS went out of play is outrageous 😆

Exactly this, if it was just the new signings not playing well, but Grav and McAlister looked like lads who've never played together

What are you talking about?? "There was no lack of effort or attempts at forward play"

There were many examples of decent counter attack opportunities that we passed up at 0-0 and 1-0 in favour of turning around and keeping possession. Counter attacks are our best chance of scoring against teams playing low blocks and yet we pass them up time and time again and have been doing so all season and it has come back to bite us many many times now.

I don't know what games you are watching if you don't see this. Then to come out and complain about playing against low blocks when you instruct your team to pass on the best chance you have of scoring against low blocks is really dumb.

If ever there was so much rubbish posted at one time then this post is it. So MacAllister is finished because of all the hard running under klopp, even though he only played one season under klopp. Like if you want to make an argument at least try use facts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,113 ✭✭✭riddles

the buck stops with him it was clear and obvious resources were needed in Jan. Rode Klopps coat tails. Wirtz is a fine player but we paid way over for him and the Isak deal was a disaster - needed width didn’t get it and extra legs in the middle.

Outrageous that Liverpool are even in contention for CL. Been woeful all season.

Don't know tbh but I know for sure it can't be all the hard running he did under klopp cuz that never happened🤣🤣

I believe that's our 11th goal conceded after the 80th min in the prem this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,172 ✭✭✭giveitholly

The way he is playing at the moment yeah he looks finished, buts thats not to say he is,who knows if he is carrying an injury or not. Probably the only way we would know is him playing under a different manager and see how he goes then

1.7 goals per game in the league, again today, if we score the second we win. We had chances, just not taking them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,930 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

The fact we are still in a Champions league place says everything about the standard of the league this season.

I did too and scant consolation it was.

Only sorry I didn’t combine it with Richarlson to be the scorer. It was all so depressingly predictable.

I’ve been defending Slot for months but I can’t defend what I saw today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,334 ✭✭✭eigrod

was at the game. Horrible. That was the most pathetic 90 minutes of front play i’ve seen and then the shitshow spread to the back as it always does. Robertson & Van Dijk for the goal - that attack wasn’t even a threat until they turned it into one. From half time the sense of inevitability of what was going to happen just grew and grew.

Why wait to be knocked out of anything, Slot out. We need to be in form asap before a tough end of season.

This time next week we're into an international break, if they're gonna do it that's when it'll happen imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,924 ✭✭✭Damien360

Even with the audible boos at the end by fans, is the general consensus the same as here about Slot and his inability heard on the stands ? For a long time it's no criticism allowed or you are not a real fan. So I'm curious what is heard among fans at the stadium.

Don’t post here much, but the football from this team this season is so hard to watch, and I don’t really want to watch another season of it, if he’s not sacked this season their is no way he lasts another year playing football like this, I miss the way the Klopp teams used to play and the way he got the crowd up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,329 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

a few of us got absolutely destroyed for asking serious questions in September. I firmly believe he has no idea what made that title winning nucleus great.

Alisson's one-on-one ability (allowing a high line and aggressive press).

VVD's ability to read situations, buy time and dominate in the air.

Trent's threat from deep constantly keeping the opposition press on the back foot.

    Diaz's energy and ball carrying.

Salah's efficiency in the final 3rd.

These were the pillars. Then lots of energy and gap plugging around that.

    And now?

I don't recognise the team at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,334 ✭✭✭eigrod

Yes. It very much is the majority are done with him now I think.
I get to 4 or 5 games per season on the 4+ members sales so most around me would be day trippers too, but from chatting amd hearing in the pubs, and the boos today, he’s not popular right now.

If we end up in the Conference league, will you personally watch it?

I feel bad saying it but I won't bother I don't think. That competition has as much prestige as an Audi Asia tour trophy. I work too long and too hard to be wasting my free time of a Thursday evening watching the u21s win 2-0 in Montenegro. Chelsea won the whole thing last year and I don't think any of their fans actually cared

I really think we'd be better off with no Europe instead of that.

Turgid and pedestrian. Slot is clearly on his last legs. The Gala game will decide his immediate future. Win and he stays till the season ends. Lose and he needs to go over the international break.

Today was a very hard watch and Everyone could see it was going to finish with Spurs scoring. Rio a bfright light throughout. Macca's legs are simply gone. Playing Szob at RB when a RB is available is simply criminal, we cannot do without him nearer the top end.

To be fair, Salah did more as a sub than when he has started.

I think we beat Gala 2-0 and Slot is gone at the end of the season.

It won't happen but I think there's a case to get rid before the second leg. I can see how Wednesday plays out already: strong start, possibly a goal then revert to type - sit in, hope to see the game out and concede. It's like Amorim's last days - rigidly sticking to a formula that clearly doesn't work and results reflecting that.

Would you go away. The only that was spotted was because of TV. Impossible for officials to see it from where they were.

I believe there was tickets available last night on the website. The game may not have sold out. Between that and the boos at the end show that the home crowd have turned on the manager. I think the end will come. If we don't get through against Galatasaray and a bad result against Brighton, that could be it.
