Dewsbury Hall is a name like a stately home in England.

Awful effort from Saka from in front of the goal. You have to be getting that on target.

That was some block from Calafiori.

    Pushed with both hands. Disgrace.

Very frustrating sometimes. You can see players taking up positions between the lines, when it gets congested around the edge of the Everton box, where a quick ball to someone free in space is on and could cause damage - but the default is to pass back or wide.

At first glance that looked a penalty on Havertz... Would have to see that again.

it’s not Var failure it’s corruption. Var facilitates bad actors. It’s rotten to the core

Sooner or later a club has to take legal action or just ditch VAR.

Giving up way too many chances .

Everton decent value for a goal here.

Not sure about that, incompetence is more likely.

I find the corruption talk so tiresome.

Go into any thread for any team here and you'll find supporters of every team complaining about how refs give them nothing and VAR is biased against them, uniquely them - nobody else.

    It's not corruption - it's incompetence.

Alan Smith is nearly as bad as Neville.

Eze is working hard todat at least.

Corruption isn’t against any one team it’s betting markets and more…

How any football fan can see how WCs are bought and think the game itself can’t be…

Massive improvement from Eze today, in fact the whole team is gelling better. One goal will settle us down.

Mosquera on for Timber. Hopefully Jurrien will be fine.

Okay, but what annoys me is you don't hear anyone complaining about corruption when a decision goes the team's way: it's selective outrage.

But we can agree to disagree.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 1,618 ✭✭✭JohnySwan

Well that's it exactly, we got a marginal decision in our last game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,468 ✭✭✭omega man

    Butchering some good half chances

Everton working very hard. If Arsenal want to win this league they're going to have to up the tempo.

Irrespective of who you support, if you cannot agree that Arsenal are declined clear cut peno decisions on a regular basis imo more so than any other club, you need your eyes tested.

Arteta was slating refs week after week two seasons ago and they have got very little since.

That being said, Arsenals stamp of football is boring, control games all you want with possession but goals win games and they are far too slow in everything they do. Now their defence is standing off and thats why they are getting caught out in a lot of games and making hard work of it all.

They should be battering Everton given the squad.

Shocking seeing that again, VAR not giving a penalty. Embarrassing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,063 ✭✭✭Soups123

It’s not every decision. Var 100% facilitates it.

The peno today is a horrendous decision, it’s not even boarder line. You’d have to be beyond competent as a VAR to get it wrong.
To hear Redknap and Sturridge both call it horrendous says it all

I don't believe that Arsenal are denied clear cut penalty decisions more so than any other team. They get decisions that go their way and decisions that don't, same as any other side.

I'll say it again - go into any single super thread here for any PL team and you will find no shortage of people who claim refs/VAR are biased against their team above all others.

Even if, yes, absolutely that should have been a penalty for Havertz earlier.

Can we please stop giving the ball to Saliba in advanced position, his passing in those areas is atrocious
