Big Joe has really stepped up since the France game

We've demolished their lineout so far, and the scrum is holding up well.

    Big Stu unplayable.

    What a tournament!

If you're not enjoying this half then rugby just isn't for you

They've completely folded. Scotland need half time quickly and Ireland could do with another try.

wish Ireland would stick it up the jumper a bit more. Going for big play too early.

We've scored three tries on a team that put 50 on France last week. I'd say we're doing okay.

It's got it's flaws, but that's way over the top.

Some of our decision making and execution could be better at times, but the 3 tries in this game and demolition of England alone show what we're capable of at times.

Scotland can easily come back into this. Only some big plays have kept them out at times - plus some silly Scotland errors.

First try after half would be huge.

Scotland are playing like a team who maybe celebrated last week a bit too much with a few too many pints.

We've been pretty good. But disappointed at how unclinical we were later in the half. Still worried that Scotland, if they get going, can reign in two or three trys unopposed.

    But so far, so good.

Scotland wet themselves playing us...hard to explain.

Next try is huge. Bookies had o/u at 60 points and I expect that to be bang on. We'll both get TBP, I reckon.

Scotland are playing exactly like every recent Scotland team. Shte away from home.

Pretty much everything we have seen points towards what is happening today.

Theres a huge mental block there...it works the other way also...the Irish know they will always beat the Scots...

Camera angle. POM is very close to 6'5" and Shaggy 6'4"

We've looked throughout that half like we knew exactly what they were going to do and are already set up and ready to deal with it. Just totally shutting them down and putting them under pressure when they have the ball. Seriously impressive performance so far.

JGP and Crowley both playing very well, Doris is immense, Joe Mac carrying really well and Beirne being a total nuisance at the Scottish breakdown. McCloskey... probably player of the tournament, imo. Back three and the rest of the pack have been very good too. Much more of a full team performance so far, like the English game.

More of the same in the second half and we could win this at a canter. Early try after half time would be ideal, and bonus point would be in the bank too.

Sione T definitely has line breaks in him. A brilliant player. We need to be on our toes in 2nd half.

Next score so important. We get it, we can put the foot on the neck, they get it and they start believing an upset is possible

Scotland have done well maintaining possession, we really haven't had a sniff of a jackal so far. They're definitely capable of pulling us apart if they can go through the phases.

Another strong start needed here. 2 quick tries please.

That was a great 1st half for Ireland. They have done extremely well to score 3 tries against Scotland in this match.

Scotland are nowhere their potential to achieve what they scored against France in Murrayfield last week. It's really unusual & satisfying in a way to see a Scotland team collapse under pressure when their gameplan goes wrong on Irish soil.

It will be interesting to see where Scotland go from here when the 2nd half begins right now.

It will be really nice to see where Ireland will score more tries against Scotland within the next 40 minutes.
