What does it smell like, could be just condensation from exhaust in this weather. It's stoppping because the car warmed up and the exaust is dry, welcome to Ireland, first time?

Is the car fitted with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), do you know ?

Could be vapour as someone mentioned earlier. Does this occur only after a cold start when the car has not been driven for a while, like first thing in the morning, or at any time randomly?

thanks all for replies, after doing some research and youtube a few things it could have been, from turbo to dpf to burning oil to one valve or another, but after talking to a diy mechanic who told to change the fuel filter,i did and that ended the smoke,

Hi just wondering, I've a 17 skoda superb, warning ⚠️ light came on earlier diesel particulate filter owners manual, anyone experience this warning sign?

Plenty of people will have experienced it. You need to get the engine up to temperature with plenty of fuel in the tank and go for a long motorway drive keeping the revs as high as possible

Thanks. I restarted the car earlier and no light, but took it for a 25 min drive in 4th gear at high revs, on motorway. Hopefully cleared itself
