Laminate is easy enough. Just a square, measuring tape, pencil and a fine-toothed wood saw. You can get them all in Woodies, or in any hardware store, or in a Chadwicks or builder's providers.

Decide whether you're going under the skirting or not, if not you'll need to fit trimming/edging around the outside.

    The truth doesn't lie.

Always be sure the tongue & grooves are clean when joining them or you will end up with small gaps in between each board. Give both a brush before joining to be sure.

If you keep looking back you'll never see what's in front of you

Decide how you will position them, usually face them towards the window. Start in the middle of the room. Lay boards out and adjust position to have similar gaps at the wall on both sides. This makes it easier for cutting and looks better. Use spacers to set expansion gap at the walls.

Check out YouTube videos before you start.

Measure up and buy at least one or two packs extra. You can usually return any unopened packs.

In addition to tools above I used a mallet, spacers, a block to fit over the laminate to tap it in position and a tool to pull boards together. Look up laminate tool kits on Amazon for info. You will get what you need in the shop that sells the laminate .

Easy enough, just take you time and Good Luck

you might need to buy a few saws. The laminate blunts them very quickly.
