I have a feeling Lowry will bounce back this week. Despite the MC last week at Bay Hill & the collapse at PGA National the week before……he is playing well.

Form: 3rd, 26th, 8th, 24th, 2nd, MC (Last week).

He's made the CUT here the last 5 years: 8th, 13th, 35th, 19th, 20th (2025).

Field is 123 players. Cut Top 65 (incl ties).

Hope Seamus Power makes the cut this year.

Form: 31st, 63rd, 11th, 52nd, MC (Last week).

He missed the CUT last year: 35th, 33rd, MC, 64th, MC (2025).

I wouldn't be in favour of it becoming a major. That would be 4 majors played in America which would be mad considering the game is played worldwide.

If there was to be a 5th major I think it should be played in somewhere like Australia.

Regarding the majors - there's a good argument for this being one, a better argument for one that goes around the world, no argument (other than that it already is one) for the uspga being one. But regardless of all that, this is a great tournament. The 3 hole finish is the best I can think of in television golf.

I’ve been lucky enough to have played here a number of times. It’s such a great course. To me it’s unbelievably difficult, I’ve no idea how the pros shoot so low here.

If I had to choose between this and The US PGA as a major, I’d choose here all day long.

Totally agree on this. I wouldn't like to have a 5th Major just regards the history of the game etc but would easily swap this out for The US PGA

I see Seamus Power is at it again with double bogey on the last. The guy has an awful habit of messing up decent rounds with an awful finishing hole. He does it far too often.

Shane- he needs time off to reset. His head is clearly gone. If I was him I wouldn't play again until the masters.

And Rory, guessing the injury is the cause of the poor start. Are we looking at another WD?

I've been out all evening and not seen a single shot of the tournament yet....so only judging on scores.

If Rory has any niggle he should surely WD, worry is when the back starts to give trouble it starts to give trouble…Shane, feel sorry for him…just needs a solid 4 rounds somewhere to get his head right, coming in at E would have been fine, but an 8 on the last, is head must be scrambled again last night..
