How is that not a peno?

When is a push in the back not a push in the back? When its on a Leeds player…..

    A beauty.

    That was a great play.

Great run, great pass, great touch to get him to the end line, cut back, unreal touch and hit.

superb goal from Longstaffe. Presumably will be disallowed because Gudmonsson’s left testicle was over the line…..

    Why is that yellow card?

    Piroe looks lost

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,991 ✭✭✭downthemiddle

Take Ampadu and Gaby off at half time.

Comfortable so far, as others said var has not been good to us, clear push on Nmecha before we scored. I do like us better with Gnonto and James in the side, they offer so much going forward. Delighted for Gudmundsson, he deserves that but agree it would be good to give him and Ampadu a rest. Longstaff looks better today, putting in some terrific balls and took his goal brilliantly.

    No Piroe, no party.

Always like Piroe's style, very easy on the eye lovely touch and finisher …just a shame he lacks in other areas that holds him back

FT. 3-0. One observation from that match. Why are Gnonto and Tanaka not playing every match for Leeds?

That'll do. Hopefully stay up and have had a cup run be a good season. With some luck maybe a trip to Wembley

Just looking there and the QF is the Easter weekend after the International break so a lot of players will have been rested. Hopefully West Ham win tomorrow night as they might be as distracted as us.

    Away to tonight's winner.

Away to West Ham. Piece of pi$$. 😀

Will either shut them up about the last day or they'll be cock-a-hoop which they seem to be anyway, unfortunately they seem to have got their act together …with City and Villa next 2 hopefully they don't get much there, we need to be putting at least 3 more pts to it with our games

Hearing rumours of Leeds playing a preseason game in Croke Park in August. Anyone heard anything? Against Man Utd I've heard potentially but I'd be surprised if they let that fly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,680 ✭✭✭gipi

They are going to the USA in late July/early August. Games against Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool.

    Tickets on sale from tomorrow.

Think the thinking is they'd be going to Ireland after that. 9th of August is the rumour.

Obviously contingent on whether they avoid relegation as the championship season would be starting too soon for it to work.

The camogie finals are on 9th August in Croker, so that date isn't available.

Listening to the price of football recently and Kieran came up with a few nuggets:

He pays no attention to the Deloitte/Forbes rich lists. They base their listings purely on turnover - there is no reference to profitability. It makes sense - how can Barca and the red lot be in the richest when they owe billions?

Trying to qualify for the Europa conference Leg is pure folly. Chelsea barely broke even winning it. Some chance to make money with the CL and Europa Lge - I think he said the Con Lge is worth about 10% of the CL. On the playing side long travel has a fairly obvious effect on the teams in it. How Chelsea and the like will compete in Europe with a 70% SCR will be interesting. If its just fines they will be happy to pay.

Ok that rules that out then! I suppose we'll see.

It's a real pity we don't have Spurs until the end of the season. This weekend would be the perfect time to get them. You have to expect they will have a new manager very soon and may be a very different team by the time we play them.

Looking like our trips to London are going to have a significant bearing on the outcome of our season.

Very winnable game at Selhurst on Sunday, two trips to West Ham and the trip to Spurs.

Need to sort out this London hoodoo soon.

Anton Stach has launched a youtube channel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,404 ✭✭✭Ceist_Beag

Saw some of the instagram posts from Stach after games with cartoon characters added in, he's a bit of a character!

I see Palace played pretty much their full strength team last night so that's bound to have a bit an impact for Sunday. Last time we played them they had less than 48 hours rest so they have an extra day this time around but you would still think this is an opportunity for us to get something from the visit. Hopefully Gnonto (and to a slightly lesser extent James) gets more of an opportunity this weekend as we need to give one or two lads a chance to freshen things up a bit.

DCL injured so hopefully he will play Gnonto and Tanaka.

In order to beat Palace, we would have needed our strongest team on the pitch.

Farkes game management will be crucial.
