Did you get ticket numbers yet? I'd guess they start with 001, which means it's an AA-issued ticket and eligible to earn. You can just add your AerClub numbers to the reservation and the flights will earn Avios and tier credits, though I'm not entirely sure about how the BA legs will work out (the rules are a bit vague about whether a BA flight is eligible to earn if on an AA ticket)

Thanks for all the replies guys i have both BA/AA apps on my phone from the last holiday to the US. When i get issued the tickets will add my Aer club nbr.

Can buy 15k revpoints at the moment for €240 which I think is a little cheaper than 15k Avios points

you will get more avios from the AA and BA flights if you credit them to BA which is why I suggested that

You’ll get more on aerclub for the Aer Lingus sector

You can send the avios from BA over to aerclub when you get it

Is anyone having issues accessing the reward booking page on aer lingus? I keep getting an error page

Why is that? Are they getting rid of RevPoint → Avios transfers?

They're doing a bonus deal at the moment where you get extra Avios if you transfer before today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,965 ✭✭✭donkey balls

Was on to travel company they are going to add my Aerclub nbr to both the AA/BA flights.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,877 ✭✭✭pureza

wrong thing to do for the AA and BA flights

well you can let them do that but you’ll get 6 avios per qualifying euro spend if credited to BA vs only 3 avios on aer lingus for the American flights ie double

I haven’t checked the difference between both for BA flights but I’d be confident you’ll also get 6 per euro

If you are not chasing tier status with airlines you may aswell game the system for the extra avios

But sure do what you want!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,965 ✭✭✭donkey balls

Not chasing tier status just the avios points so how do i go about getting the AA sectors DUB/BNA/MSY/MIA credited to BA?

Im also going to get the missis signed up as well.

you call the Dublin AA number ,give them your flight numbers and ask them to add your BA number to them

Ditto call the Dublin BA number and ask that it’s added to that

You could ask AA for their pnr (passenger numerical record) for your booking on that flight, tell them that your travel agent didn’t give it to you and just log in on the American and BA websites and add it yourself

Simpler to ask AA and BA to do it though

    AA number : 01 6623477

    BA number in Ireland : 1800 626747

Leave the phone on speaker or AirPods in and do other stuff while you listen to the wait music

Has anyone used the Aer CC in another non Euro currency country and if so is their an additional charge for FX exchange? The last time I was in the US i brought cash and used Revolut.i did not have the Aer CC at the time.

Yes. 2.25% fee, plus a margin on the forex of 2.38% over ECB rate.

I now use Revolut when in the UK or Switzerland instead…

Found a new life hack. I was in B&Q on Sunday looking for a particular tool that was on their website. No sign of it, maybe I was looking in the wrong place. So I went to get a cuppa in the cafe nearby and ordered it for click and collect via the website and the aer club app. 15 minutes later it was ready for me. Popped over, scanned the QR code and back out the door a few seconds after going in plus 5 points per € spent

Did anyone get the meail telling you that they are getting a new partner so if you have a mastercard you have to reregister it?

How do you do that. Email is very unclear about what is happening or what to do.

We’re updating our in-store offers programme and moving to a new service provider. To make this transition smooth, we will not be able to accept any new card registrations between

11th of March and the 15th of April 2026

    .

If you’d like to take advantage of any of the offers running during this period, please make sure your card is registered before

    4pm (GMT) 11th March 2026

. If you have an old or unused card on your account, please take a moment to remove this from your account before

    4pm (GMT) 11th March 2026

    .

    What this means for you

If you have a Visa or American Express card registered, you do not need to take any action.

These cards will move to our new provider automatically, and you can continue to shop and collect Avios as usual.

If you have registered a Mastercard card on the programme, you will need to re-enter your card details after 15th April 2026 once the system is live. We will send you a reminder with clear instructions closer to the time.

While we make these changes, you will still be able to collect Avios on all registered cards throughout the transition.

If you need any support, please see our Help section or contact our Customer Support team via the usual claims form.

Yes I got that too but like most things I'll bury my head in the sand until the time comes

No such email, and I use a Mastercard which has got points from a real world purchase recently… although it is an Aerclub Mastercard, so maybe they're porting those ones over properly!

I definitely had to manually register the number, though.

edit: Just came now, some hours later

The email contained the information that the instructions to re-register would come after the 15th April, it couldn’t have been more clearer.

Annoying it has to be done manually but they did specifically say after the 15th and there’ll be a reminder.

If you go on the Estore site there are options to register your card for physical purchases in certain stores i.e. Decathlon - yoiu can see them on the website and register to them,

I believe they are saying this functionality will be taken down for a while so you cannot register a card (if you want to) so, do it now or wait till the new system is live but there will be a gap.

This applies to any card (doesn't even have to be a card in your own name), it's a simple way to pick up some extra points but the partners are very limited

If, you know what it is then the email is clear in my opinion

Corporate accounts, or people who can unobtainable for mortals letters of credit from banks can get them, and without any of the fancy features.

But there are also people who don't live in Ireland collecting Avios on Aer Lingus.

Our company got them for the mgmt, One night we are out in town and one of the lads from the UK tried to pay for food&drinks amd was told the restaurant did not accept them.

So how do you know which stores and where do you register for them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 938 ✭✭✭steve-o

I'd guess many people receiving the email have no idea what it's about because they've no idea what the "in-store offers programme" is. Many people might think it has something to do with their Aer Lingus account because there's no real context to the email. Also, it doesn't come from an Aer Lingus or Avios email address (what's "rewardengine.com"?). It contains a "membership number" that is not recognisable as your Aer Club number. It has many of the hallmarks of some kind of scam!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 325 ✭✭MadeInKerry

I 100% figured it was a scam until a friend got it too. There isnt even a link or instructions on where you are supposed to register.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,128 ✭✭✭✭Cyrus

the free flights reward is an absolute shambles, i dont think it reflects well in either Aer Lingus or BOI to offer this in the way its currently presented.

Just keep escalating egregious experiences to Aer Lingus senior management.
They'll get annoyed eventually and either drive the fix for it or scrap it. You can find most of them on public websites like LinkedIn etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,453 ✭✭✭✭Creamy Goodness

Aye, fair enough I didn't even look into the details that much as I was very aware of the in store collection. If it was a scam though the links would have been much more apparent as scams rather than linking to aerlingus.com and estore.aerlingus.com

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,903 ✭✭✭thebiglad

The page now seems to be gone on E-store - when they relaunch it no doubt we'll get an email.

The stores were very limited and I only remember Decathlon and Dublin Coach.

The deal was you record your debit or credit card and then, when you spend in these stores it tracks and you get appropriate points - it worked for me, I had my own and my wife's cards attached - didn't make a ton of points but, for purchases you are making anyhow…

Aircoach (still working two weeks ago) and Lifestyle Sports (last year) are the only places I've got in-store credit for.
