Planet of Lana 2 sitting around 82 at the moment. Happy enough with that

Played the first game last month after getting it for 4e in a psn sale. Enjoyed it.

Looks like II is gonna be 20e.

Gamepass day 1 so I'll give it a bash on Xbox. Enjoyed the first one too

Got a middling score from Metro game central which brought it down a good bit. Bit surprised it did as well as it did, the first game is pretty much fur coat no knickers the indie game and this sounds about the same.

Neither here nor there with the league, but played Esoteric Ebb for an hour last night and it’s delightful. Does what it says on the tin - Disco Elysium meets D&D - but leans into the humour and possibility space of that premise. Conversations and encounters can have wild and very funny outcomes.

There’s a lengthy demo too, so well worth a go. Early days but can already see where the enthusiastic reviews are coming from.

    3 bids made.

I see your 3 bids and raise you 2 bids.

    That's how raising works, right?

If you are going to be like that then, another bid placed!

Didi miss some news or something....

Best stay out of it. This is usually when the really stupid picks happen.

    Usually by me.

WOW Midnight has its first review on opencritic, an 8/10 from GamesRadar.

Hopefully more start rolling in soon and I dont get a 0 for it.

Seeing as I haven't had to do the usual dropping of games as soon as the season has started, I can afford to take a couple of inexpensive punts this year. Ergo, three cheap assed indie bids have been placed this evening.

    This week's update;

@Retr0gamer acquired Unannounced New Mainline F-Zero Game, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for a dollar each.

I went cheap as well, and picked up Everything is Crab, Australia Did It, and Raccoin: Coin Pusher, also for a dollar each.

@johnny_ultimate spent a little more, buying Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Splatoon Raiders for a total of $15.

    In case you're wondering, this is the budget everyone has left;

Fzero, might be stupid but Nintendo did put out that Fzero virtual boy game so... No it's probably stupid.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 is picking up some great reviews.

    Looks great in fairness.

Just no time to play it/ too many good games to play. I was tempted to start MHS1 and 2 last week as they came to PS+.

WOW Midnight on 85 as well after 6 reviews. Was worried about taking a 0 for it.

Id be very surprised if there was an F-Zero game this year, announced possibly but surely not released.

That bidding war was two whole weeks ago. Far too slow.

Just like Mammy Bear tidying up after the Goldilocks from New Zealand visited...

    3 bids made!

Listened to a very positive Mouse PI for Hire preview. Sounds like it could be pushing a 90.

Very little JC Toxic Commando chatter and its out tomorrow.

Super Meat Boy 3D trophies have been added to the server so could be out in the next month or two. Risky enough pick by me.

Whats everyone's predictions for Crimson Desert? 90? Digital Foundrys incoming breakdown should be telling for the non PC/Pro versions.

Low 80s. Seems a lot more competent than previews suggested but still a bit messy.

Crimson Desert sounds like such an absolute mess of a thing that seems to do a lot but only a handful of things well. I don't think it will work for everyone, but there is absolutely a big market for these sort of random, pretty mega-games. Very curious how it pans out, because I watched SkillUp's video preview and some of the decisions sound completely infuriating and get in the way of what sounds like a solid combat system.

It could maybe hit that Dragons Dogma sweet spot.

Toxic Commando is a risky one alright but think it will still push 80+. How many games are we allowed drop?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,801 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Three in total, so long as they haven't released.

In an attempt to keep my opinion based solely on my experience, i have essentially avoided anything that shows more of Crimson Desert in the last month or so. What I had read up to that point has me very interested, and a comparison of RDR2 exploration with Bollywood style action left me genuinely intrigued and not wanting any more until I experience it.

I just hope it's judged on what it is, rather than what it's not. The Bollywood reference makes me hope it harks back to the days when things tried to be fun rather than realistic, and what I've read about it, that seems to be the intent.
