Rain to arrive at commute hometime.

    Overcast. Dublin 2

Back from warm abroad last night. This doesn't seem terrible at all compared to how I left the place. Gloves and hat not needed on bike at lunch time. Is the cold rainy misery to return soon?

Narrow band of rain pushing across the country. Heavy in the NW.

Horrible wet, windy weather continuing today in Arklow. Here's hoping the good forecast for tomorrow is accurate.

Think it's €1,600 now for 1,000 litres I've never seen it so high unless it was that price when fuel prices where over 2 euro a litre, edit look at this that's just crazy who'd pay near 2k for 1,000 litres if I could I'd be going up north

Hopefully that high pressure from the Azores settles in and gives us a decent stretch of calmer weather. After the past few months, even a fairly mild and dry March would feel like a big win.

Very windy near the banks of Lough Ree now. Sounds like a storm out there.

On ME forecast tonight he said the Azores high was moving away allowing a strong North Westerly to bring cold and wintery showers .

Fresh sunny morning. Was a nice run at 7am.

Holding on to the blue skies this morning.

    Breezy 9° Meath

Turned well wintery now. Cold. Spitting rain.

11° ?. Feels much less. Meath

Cloudy. 8C. Passing showers. Wind was cool. Tried to make the best of it outside. Spent the day making new compost bins. What use to take 3 hours now takes 6. Haha. Back in from that cold wind. Cup of tea and probably a doze.

We're been taking to the cleaners by the energy companies, our prices have risen by 27% over the past week, rest of Europe is 1 to 3%.

Bright day here in north Longford. A few passing light showers up until about 3pm. Then it got cloudy and the wind would go through you, some showers still. Spent the day getting ready for slurry spreading which is supposed to happen on Friday. I was famished cold until I came in. Fire on in stove now and settling back to watch the champions league.

Most infuriating thing is nothing will happen and it’ll continue to happen again in the future.

playing in the waves at Inch Beach, Kerry this afternoon. Not a great photo but was at max zoom on my phone. A wild day, windy and cold day but at least it was dry.

That dry southerly gale is comparatively warm, should I be looking for saharan sand falling?

Not the worst day. Sunny and mostly dry

Very windy morning out. Equally intermittent rain being driven by the wind and the spray off a lorry I got stuck behind, made the journey to town difficult enough this morning. A day for keeping indoors if you can in Longford I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,351 ✭✭✭beggars_bush

    That day sounds absolutely miserable

Heavy rain hitting the side windows

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 326 ✭✭Hontou

A constant and saturated growl of wind over a dark Lough Ree. Eerie.

That's comfortably the worst morning of the winter so far!

There was a good layer of sand deposited on the roof and rear of my car last night as I was changing out wiper blades. I wasn't expecting it at all.
