Billionaire Leslie Wexner has been ordered to testify in a lawsuit brought by a group of former Ohio State University students who say they were sexually assaulted decades ago by campus doctor Richard Strauss and their alma mater did nothing to stop him. Hundreds of men have accused Strauss. Wexner was a board member of the university at the time.

Also some victims have claimed Rep Jim Jordan, now a House Committee Chair, knew of the misconduct. He denies it.

Jordan was an assistant coach with Ohio State University's wrestling program from 1987 to 1995.[24]

Richard Strauss was the wrestling team physician during Jordan's tenure. Strauss died by suicide in 2005.[25] In April 2018, Ohio State University began an independent investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by Strauss.[26][27][28] The report concluded that Strauss had committed sexual abuse against 177 student-patients.[29]: 37–38 [30] The majority of abuse (143 victims) was categorized as genital fondling associated with medically unnecessary genital or rectal examinations.[29]: 41  Of the 177, 153 were student-athletes, of which a plurality (48) were members of the men's wrestling team.[29]: 43 

Several involved persons have stated that Jordan surely knew of Strauss's criminal misconduct but did not report it.[31][32][17] While at least one victim has named Jordan as knowledgable of accusations against Strauss, Head Coach Russ Hellickson said he may not have known about the abuse.[33] A spokesperson for Jordan denied the allegation, saying that Jordan "never saw or heard of any abuse, and if he had, he would have dealt with it".[34] No wrestlers have accused Jordan himself of sexual misconduct, but four former wrestlers named him as a defendant in a lawsuit against the university.[35][36][37] Jordan has denied any wrongdoing and has described his accusers as "pawns in a political plot".

Poll of midterm voting intentions has Demopcrats ahead 50-44. But otherwise the poll shows the Democrats as a party have a lower approval rating (30%) than the Republicans (37%). On Immigration, Trump has a net disapproval rating, but 53% approve of his recrd on "border security". 63% disapprove of Trump's record on inflation.

It's up to Trump to decide on whether to sit down and consider asking his secretaries if their Departments and attached intelligence sections had got a whiff of Benny & the Israelis having a plan for an end run around his U.S ally into Lebanon while Trump had drawn the U.S into a war with Iran. He probably wont as the wrong answer would scramble what's left in his head - the idea that his appointed would have thought it better to kiss his ring instead of telling him the truth, even though he would like the touch.

So the price of oil- fool me once and all of that. What are people’s thoughts? Has Trump backed himself into a corner saying the war is near and end?
No doubt Israel wants to continue and bomb the bejayzuz out of Iran - but Trump knows if this war continues much longer, the markets will stop listening to him and oil prices will continue to rise.

But where does that leave Iran and the unfinished business of a leader suitable to America?
And of course cheap oil for America and less oil for China?

He’s stopped the rise temporarily- but if he doesn’t extract himself from Iran soon, the markets will rely on solid facts and their own appraisal of what the future holds

I have a feeling he'll have to back out of it. Post mid terms, I'm assuming an impeachment is all but guaranteed at this point.

I see Trump is pushing forward with Voter ID and proof of being a citizen in order to vote on the day- if he’s successful doing this either by law or by force, I could see a lot of democrats staying away- between that and fear of capture by ICE, it’s not at all certain Democrats will take over the house
