Are you using the consumption or the grid on the insights from energia.

If you have a battery you'll need to use the grid (the pylon icon) the consumption is just made up/guessed

Interesting. I don't see the pylon icon. I am using the website and not the app so maybe i should install the app and have a look.

Hi all, I'm looking at getting the SigenStor system. I currently have a 6 solar panel system setup on my home and I was looking to upgrade it with more panels and a battery storage system plus an EV charger. But then I came across this SigenStor 5 in 1 system. I love the concept of how it works, basically it Learns your home's usage and then charges up the batteries only to what you need rather than a full charge every day and this system will compliment my solar system nicely.

Can you please give me an idea of the costs involved in getting such a system and what size system you would recommend for an average size 4 bed semi-detached house. I used 2062kWh of electricity last year.

Thanks for your help in advance 🙂👍

I would say to simply get the most amount of panels that can fit on your roof. Panels aren't much more per panel while getting the work done. Selling units is 19.5 cent or more these days.

As for the battery, get the sigenstor 10 for 9 kwh or 2 of them stacked if you want more.

I got 20 panels, inverter and sigenstor 10 battery for over €11k. Pay back period will be 5-7 years. Maybe better if prices rise a lot.

Hi, looking for a bit of help pls as new to this! We recently got 22 panels, 9kw battery and gateway installed. Sigenergy, have the app but very confusing! Haven't used the battery much at all yet just been selling back to the grid and using solar to run appliances. I know I'm missing out here not using the battery but we're on 24hour rate with flogas 22c kw and selling back for 18c, we use a lot of electricity unfortunately 🙈 we have air to water heat pump so it kicks in few times a day to top up heat to house etc.. app is in self consumption mode, only got system installed in January so didn't want to switch to day/night rate just yet until we got used to the system and make sure that would work best for us as one of us works from home during day and would be using appliances to cook dinner etc.. what I'm wondering is can i use solar to run house during the day (as I'm doing now) battery to fill that gap, then excess goes to grid? Tried it before but as soon as battery discharged it charged automatically from the grid which makes no sense for us as we're on 24 hour rate. But can I set it that it only charges on the solar, so say discharges at 5pm, house pulls from grid but doesn't charge battery (unless there's solar) then next day solar good so it prioritises charging battery first?
