Work colleague sold her car privately today and is now carless and looking for an EV SUV but on a tight enough budget if she goes for a new one.

I found C3 Aircross, opel frontera and MG S5 to be in around what she is looking for, the biggest car for smallest budget is what she is looking for really.

Coming from a fiesta but wants something that will take her dogs in the boot. I showed her the likes of id3 and megane and even renault 4 but she wants that traditional SUV style

Anything else I should be pointing out to her?

over budget if she goes new....but a contender if she goes used. But then again so is almost everything so keep it to new for now

MGS5 EV SUV | MG Motor Ireland - starting price is 30k - looks like a lotta car for that money? haven't seen it and know nothing about MG except for a friend who has the mg4 and is very happy with it.

Yep thats on the list for sure

Brother has an mg4, hes not much into cars or anything but he likes it and this seems to be based very much on it which cant be a bad thing

Best advice you can give is to not buy new. €30K should get lots of decent fresh used options; ID4 GTX, Enyaq 80, Q4 e-Tron etc. If she doesn’t mind a slightly older car, iX3, e-Tron 55, EQC etc.

I started her off on the likes of that list but she's not a car person at all and just wants something new and with warranty. Also happy to go electric mainly for the automatic feel for traffic.

Theres a few nice cars outside work including 3 on your list ID4 GTX, etron 55 and Enyaq sportline and a very base spec 1.2 manual opel grandland which she thinks is as nice as any of them.

She bought her fiesta new in 2017 and just sold it now with 60k kms so low mileage user and will look to hold on to new car for many years also. They're all smallish batteries though for that money so just have to make sure she realises this

Frontera has a particularly small battery from memory?

Yeah its only a 44kwh I think, she will have to tread carefully there but she is a low mileage driver

    Ms

Leapmotor B10. €32,800 new but she would get a nearly new on her budget. Even better it can be had in Purple :)

It does not have the ADAS problems of the C10.

Also come with a 6 year warranty.

Here is a good review of it by Derek from NEVO,

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

She bought a Frontera on Saturday. I went along with her on friday just to guide her.

27 grand including a charger installation if you move over to energia which she will do. 0 % HP.

Its only a 44kwh battery so realistically under 200kms motorway and 113bhp motor and starts with a turn of a physical key, no frills really but I have to say its some size of car for the money.

Its completely not my thing and I'm just thinking of the used EV6 and ioniq 5 etc that I could have put her in for the same money but she wasnt really interested and wanted new, doesnt need the range and is delighted.
