I'm hearing all sorts of scare stories from people, based on information being posted on Facebook by UK folk. As always, I'm treating anything from FB with a healthy degree of skepticism.

Can anyone with knowledge of the current situation please advise me (1) are there currently long passport queues for arrivals in Lanzarote and if so (2) are they for non-EU passport holders or is it a non-Schengen queue?

The queues exist for non EU passengers alright. Well, they did when I was there last November. The airports are blaming the Spanish government, whilst the Govt are blaming the airlines.

There two weeks ago. No issues queueing for EU, but UK queues were long

EU passport holders get through a lot quicker.

You'd almost think the EU were hell bent on penalising others.
