Sweden has seized an Orc ship.

The Caffa is on Ukraine's sanctions list for stealing and exporting grain from occupied Ukrainian territories. It last unloaded Ukrainian grain in Tartus, Syria, in July 2025.

Orbans a Vatnik degenerate PoS but the crap he's pulling is likely because he's getting desperate, the Hungarian Opposition under Peter Magyar is leading by 20 points and there's an election in Hungary in 6 weeks where that bastard Orban is at serious risk of finally being turfed out of office after 12 years. There's also reports he's getting help from Russian Meddlers as well to try and tilt the election in his favour. Make no mistake he's the biggest Vatnik asset in the EU and if he get's reefed from power it will immensely benefit Hungary as a whole while significantly weakening Putin as he'd lose a major interferer inside the EU. I would expect more shenanigans from him over the next month as he's blocking loans to Ukraine atm despite the fact his country doesn't pay in anyways.

Another Kremlin sabotage plan has collapsed near the village of Zahryzove, where Ukrainian paratroopers caught a Russian group attempting to plant mines and dealt with the problem.

Units of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, stopped the offensive of russian troops on Zaporizhia in their area of responsibility.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

For three months, warriors of the Timur Special Unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine implemented a complex defensive operation in the Zaporizhia direction.

So hard to find anything Ukraine positive at the moment.

Also positive for Ukraine has been their continued efforts to disarm putin's terrorists continuing to have successes.

    https://en.defence-ua.com/news/ukrainian_forces_strike_iskander_missile_unit_and_ammunition_depot_in_night_attacks-17740.html

Also recently reported that Ukrainian bank employees unlawfully detained in Hungary have been released and Orban the main putin fanboy of the EU still looks to be in line to be voted out of office as the electorate in Hungary understands his support for putin's terrorist state as the stupidity that it is.

At risk of going off on a tangent you have started further

    IMG_6670.jpeg

China whom you praise have no issue building clean green nuclear of which they have dozens under construction at ever lower costs while selling us unreliable renewables they produce using Uighur slave labour and dirty coal

Back to thread subject Ukraine would have no electricity now if they had no nuclear as Russian are afraid to further attack those plants

    Edit another China graph

Ukraine is considerably sharper at using their messaging than the Russians and their associated «Cauldron Clubs» around the internet. They’re going to keep quite about significant gains until that information becomes useless to the Russians. Ukraine could be doing quite well at the moment, we just won’t hear about it yet.

As for our old friends in the Cauldron Clubs: I feel the Russians might find themselves a bit stuck at the moment. Their usual flavor of fellow traveller have a knack of also being part of MAGAworld, and that bunch are pretty pleased with the Iran War. So now you have a good chunk of their useful idiots are supporting the attack on a Russia ally and Shahed supplier. We might not hear more of our usually scheduled nonsense from Orwell Rd. until they can figure out what their message should be.

    If only!

"Over the past week, Russia has attacked our country thousands of times. The enemy used nearly 1,750 strike drones, 1,530 guided aerial bombs, and 39 missiles against our people. Civilian infrastructure — including energy facilities and residential buildings — has been under attack," Zelenskyy said.

    https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/russia-hits-energy-infrastructure-and-homes-1772966152.html

According to the military, from 7:00 p.m. local time on March 7 until the morning of March 8, Russian forces launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from Russia’s Rostov and Voronezh regions) along with 117 attack drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmás, and other types of UAVs.

The drones were launched from six directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Millerovo in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

About 70 of the launched UAVs were Shahed drones.

The slightly more positive news is that 98 were likely intercepted, but 7 people in Kharkiv were killed.

Donetsk Airport is a fascinating monument of this conflict, and if Donetsk is ever liberated the place should house some kind of war memorial / museum.

A mere 2 years before the war, the Euro 2012 had Donetsk as one of the host stadiums, with the airport serving football fans from across Europe during the contest.

During the 2014 beginning of the war the main terminal building became an intense and extremely violent frontline for the fighting between the AFU and the Dontesk People’s Republic (which even back then we all knew was just the Russians pretending to wear a different flag on their shoulder). The AFU forces fought so efficiently and relentlessly that they were nicknamed «Cyborgs».

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Battle_of_Donetsk_Airport?wprov=sfti1#Gallery

Alas despite their skills the AFU eventually lost the terminal building and had to withdraw to the north of the airfield. For much of the 2014-Era conflict and until the Russians officially joined the fight, the frontline of that conflict ran down the middle of the runway.

Donetsk Airport might never see another flight again, and might join the likes of Nicosia Airport in being frozen in time due to conflict. But do hope that one day a Ukraine flag will fly over it again, and that it will be reopened for a liberated Donetsk to use it in peace, armed with the knowledge of how destructive and feckless the Russians were.

Is that map correct? 3 Belgorod's, 2 Rostov-on-Don's and 2 Volgograd's? Or is it just my poor understanding of Russian geography?

Various social media accounts reposting a Russian blogger lamenting the fact that the "SMO" has been such a failure in denazifying the Khohols they're not just kicking Russian arses every day but they've got the energy (and resources) to head off to the Middle East and help out half a dozen countries over there.

One of these days, those lads might actually summon up the courage to say "Putin really fecked this up; let's cut our losses and go home."

Alas the image proper appears to be AI Slop. A load of citys and borders are completely wrong and the AI appears to have created a new mini-state sandwiched between Belarus and Russia. You’ll also notice that the Crimean peninsula is now some kind of island and the Caspian Sea has more than doubled in size.

These drone strikes do happen, it’s just very annoying when people divert their efforts to this dimwitted Gen-AI platforms.

I assume this is just some guy drawing arrows on a "map", maybe there are attacks, maybe there aren't.. but it seems unlikely they're based on actual numbers or locations.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,745 ✭✭✭CelticRambler

Dronebomber's charts are usually fairly reliable … but terms and conditions apply. The arrows do not represent individual drones; rather they're reports of "one or more" seen in this or that area. We have the same system here in France for tracking the migration of cranes, and it's accurate enough for me to predict whether I might see "a few" or "a load" of them pass over my house the next day.

In the case of the chart published above, I think it was recycled from the day before and corrupted in the process. The pattern quite closely matched the alerts given in Russia, the airports closed, and (when the fog of war cleared!) the number of refineries and pumping stations burning in the morning.

For those of a Putinistic disposition, it might be worth noting the extent of Russian territory subjected to regular drone/missile alerts, and compare that situation with the calm, undisturbed daily life there in the period 2014-2022.

100% He’ll look to maximise the current global social and economic instability to scare people away from voting for the new guy. Scaremongering wins votes. I’m actually shocked he’s so far behind - can you imagine how unpopular he’d be with a free and open media in Hungary?

It’s a massive election. Will be very hard to stomach it if he pulls off a win

Only matters if at least a handful hit the targets..any reports on results?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,017 ✭✭✭✭cnocbui

    The unconscionable bombing the unspeakable.

Those self same unspeakable bombed a Ukrainian maternity ward, killing a young expectant mother.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,452 ✭✭✭Paddigol

I see Iran has revealed that Russia is assisting it in its defence against the US attacks…

That explains why their response has been so pathetic and how the US achieved air superiority so easily!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,795 ✭✭✭✭TheValeyard

Ukraine is very tactically pushing back around here.

Russia is meant to be building up for an offensive in this year. Seems like UAF disruption tactics.

Whatever the russian kompromat is,it's incredibly powerful.
