Europe leaders should remind american dictator he abandoned Ukraine while he is to use European bases

Aside from the fact he cannot be trusted

His war of choice is how the buffon feels on the day

I admire your dedication to explaining legal subtleties and the intricacies of military command. I'm sure you've already realised that some people can't tell the difference between stating "this is the situation" and "I agree with the situation and support the person or people who caused it to be so". Once you've got pigeon holed as a Trump supporter, Hegseth supporter etc, everything you post gets interpreted through that lens.

Since the current war in Iran is a kind of seamless continuation of the recent civilian uprising there where there was said to have been 30,000+ should the current deaths - at apparently officially at 1000+. At the moment be added to this fig of 3000?

    The 3000 should read 30,000

We now have a man with an associate’s degree in construction, who was chosen for his singular loyalty to Trump, as the next secretary of homeland security, but if there's a black woman with ample qualifications and experience, you have a problem with that, because that must be a DEI hire, yes?

I thought it was AI when I first saw it. I find it incredibly disturbing and surreal on so many levels.

Bassant floating the suspension of sanctions on Russian oil. So basically we have Trump and Putin both bombing countries to effect regime change more favourable to their bidding.

As the wheels really start to come off now, terrible jobs report, rising prices, collapse in republican support Trump, a man who has had to face little consequence in his life should remember "The Dildo of Consequences Rarely Arrives Lubed "

It has gone in the space of a single week from bombing Iran creating the opportunity for the population to replace the current regime with one of their own choosing, to now Trump looking for total surrender where he would decide who the new leader would be. With all the different factions getting them to accept whatever leader the majority chose would be near on impossible. Hoping to get any of them to accept a U.S. puppet would a recipe for a civil war.

I really hope I am wrong in this, but every time the markets have reacted unfavourably to one of his utterances he has done a TACO, and he knows he is living on borrowed time on the price of oil where it will keep increasing and within a few weeks will reach a level where it will be much slower decreasing than it is now increasing. The rule of thumb from other such increases due to wars effecting oil prices is four weeks. My worry is that if it gets closer to that four weeks and no end in sight he may get desperate, and with Israel and Hegseth involved, there is no limit on what they both would be proposing.

Trump has no moral compass and the same is becoming more and more the same of the people he got clearance from the Senate and Congress to appoint as his Dept secretaries. For me, the U.S has lost it's right to claim to be leader of the free world. It has no moral compass.

Until it wakes up to the fact that choosing a person it has convicted under it's own laws of child sex offences to be fit to hold the highest office in it's land, the U.S will remain the shithole of the Western World, a place to be shunned.

If Trump taco's on his attacks then I can't see him returning for more.

His next pivot will be to cause enough mayhem at home to have the midterms cancelled.

My concern is that if oil prices reached a level where they looked like remaining for a long period, that him doing a TACO would not do him any good with his own base support and decides that desperate times call for desperate measures.

It`s not as if Israel and Hegseth whispering in his ear would be a deterrent.

Can't decide if he actually believes this nonsense, or whether he doesn't but thinks his idiot followers do...

In the US when prices go up quickly for every dollar a US gallon off gas(petrol) goes up in price sales of fuel efficient cars go up 20% while sales of gas guzzlers goes down 29%.

The Americans do car about fuel prices. It is a key everyday metric for them.

    I

Does this boil down to preventing Iran from shutting the Straits of Hormuz to traffic ?

Can the Shaheeds and any other tool Iran has in its locker outlast this assault or can they retain enough weaponry to prevent traffick passing through?

The last time this happened,I think was in 1956 when Nasser nationalised Suez Canal.

He won that battle (lost subsequent battles)

I imagine Iran (or what remains of it) will have the upper hand in this aspect of the war but that is just a gut feeling.

I can see Trump trying to use nuclear weapons to get his way...(doubt that would be effective )

Other factor is insurers won't cover it. So even if it's not shut, uninsurable or exorbitantly expensive to insure have similar impacts.

Trump does'nt give a $hit about what happened in his years as a young petulent teen: He's more keen to savour the current moment of global turmoil which he's so entwined in. Not the slightest bit concerned about the aftermath and fallout either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭yagan

His home base seem impervious to reason, they're a cult and they'll blame whoever Trump tells them is at fault.

However if the Dow continues to falter and long term bonds yield continue to rise he'll eventually taco. His financial backers just want their piece of pie rather than bringing down the whole capitalist system they feed off.

Well they already have home advantage against a man child with no strategy. The Iraq invasion took 8 months of preparation as well political coalition building.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,334 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

In a way, we're probably blessed that Trump, being a man of action, doesn't think things through, relying on TACO to get himself out of tight spots. That might be the death of his career and end his building monuments to his greatness while he's still in office.

😀 I hope he gets to experience said dildo

But the jaded cynic in me thinks people like Trump that enrich themselves, bully all round them, display monumental leves of incompetence, have seemingly zero honor and leave nothing but havoc and destruction in their wake rarely experience consequences....its usually the decent people that don't deserve it and woukdnt visit them on others deliberately are the majority that experiences the consequences.

He's belching about regime change in Cuba again, so expect him to say soon that he brought great change to Iran and that's enough, mission accomplished etc…
