Snowy Wicklow Mountain peaks this morning aligned with Poolbeg and Baily Lighthouse. Perfect morning out.

Nothing but the sound of nature and the smell of freshly chopped timber. Heaven.

Beautiful day here in Dundalk. Was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy a coffee.

An absolutely stunning day from start to finish. Struggled to open my frozen oil tank first thing for delivery and the bins were frozen closed too. Blue skies, sunshine, and cold - my favourite weather except maybe only for proper snow. It'll be tough to beat today for me for the rest of the year.

Grass still too wet to cut though, unfortunately.

Is there anything more satisfying than splitting a big log?

Gorgeous day here and I believe tomorrow will be lovely too. Spring has sprung.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Absolutely stunning snowy scenes in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains early this morning, was actually a lot more snow up there than I expected! At least our otherwise crap winter ended on a high note.

It's very satisfying alright Cluedo. Beautiful day in Meath as well. Onwards and upwards.

Another nice, bright spring morning in North Longford. Partly cloudy, chilly, but no frost here.

Ahh the sound of the log splitting as the axe does its work. The smell. The colour of the log. Simple things are the best.

Dull overcast sky. 4C. Disappointing after yesterday. Leitrim

Cracking day in Dublin south west.
There’s a real heat in the sun, kids are playing out the back and the birds are in full song.

sun not making an appearance in cork city today unfortunately, was stunning yesterday however!

Cloudy and cool with outbreaks of rain here in Castlebar. Gusty southerly wind.

9C. The Sun keeps trying but it's very cloudy. Out in the garden tidying around. The grounds is soaking but needs must.

Every morning I click on here for MTs forecast. It's just habit...… Sigh........

I'm assuming this is the remains of a honey bee comb. They just look a tad on the small side ?

    Cracking day, great drying.

a great day today in Meath, unfortunately my garden is still saturated, need many more dry days before the lawn becomes cutable.

Other than the miserable washout on Thursday it's been a lovely first week of spring around here in Dublin, very rare the weather actually respects the calendar but it was almost like flipping a switch once February ended and we finally started to see some dry sunny days

Despite a wet forecast it was dry here in Castlebar all day and still dry. Very mild in a southerly wind.

Anybody have any thoughts on the so called Polar Vortex Late-Winter Stratospheric Wind Reversal? Are we in a false Spring now? Is there gonna be a cold snap in Mid March?

I bit the bullet and finally cut the grass today - just a high cut. It was still a little damp even after a few dry days, but it went OK. It was lovely to be back in the garden after the endless wet weeks. Ground felt a bit spongy still in places, but thankfully it wasn't dug up. It's in a pretty bad state though, with big areas of moss taking over for the first time ever. Lashing rain now in Kildare.

Damp start with mizzley rain in north longford. Very misty and visibility at about 1kilometer. Mild out, but miserable with the wet stuff falling.

They said Sun afternoon would be pouring rain with spot flooding in my area. It was windy and dry instead. To whom do I scribe my expressive disquiet?

That was a lovely weekend. Got loads done outside. Expected it to rain yesterday afternoon but it never happened.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

agreed! Got out to the poor garden twice over the weekend. the amount of people out and about and doing things at last!

Have found the day much colder than yesterday. Overcast and dark. Some short trickles of rain but come to nothing and threatening skies.

    11° Meath

It was fab, we were out for walks in Malahide Castle and Newbridge House. I think the kids were in shock that there was no rain!

The only downside was the playgrounds were absolutely packed, but thankfully we did the walks first so they were tired and didn't want to stay too long then😉

Another damp mizzley morning in north Longford. Yesterday cleared up around midday and was a good afternoon. Forecast looks broken, but everybody seems to be talking about the possibility of snow Thursday. Is that a possibility?
