We have definitely seen 'some' reports coming out of Tehran and elsewhere. The reports say that although people are (naturally) hugely stressed and want the bombing to stop as soon as possible, there are zero signs of civil unrest or rebellion - more that people are simply hunkering down. This idea that the US and Israel can simply bomb Iran into regime change is a fallacy. This is not Venezuela - a much smaller and impoverished country. Iran is one of the biggest and most powerful countries in the Middle East.

Thirty babies were present when the camp was liberated. Babies born there were also taken to Germany for “Germanisation”.

Denying a genocide that started in 2023 because of an increase in population from 2005 is not convincing. The classification of genocide by leading genocide scholars who spend their entire academic careers studying genocide is more convincing.

If at all. Why would anyone in Iran trust either Trump or Netanyahu? They are clearly two villains who don't give a toss about the Iranian people. 'Better the devil you know' and all that.

An oppressive regime and its people are a two player scenario. Now we have at least four players in Iran, to say nothing of the region, and foreigners dropping bombs tend to attract hostility irrespective of their intent.

Well they're hardly in much of a position to start 'civil unrest' or 'rebellion' at the moment, the lack of same is as likely to follow directly from the danger and stress of the bombing as anything else. From the limited reports I've seen, people are lying low for the moment for very obvious and logical reasons.

The Americans promised Iraqis liberation, freedom and democracy. They stressed that the Iraqi people had to be in control of their own destiny

Yet there are still US troops in Iraq. Trump warned that if Iraq asked for them to leave they would be hit with severe sanctions.
The democracy loving Americans also warned the Iraqis they would be punished if they elected a pro Iranian president.

100%, but would the Iranian people be in any mood to rise up against their own government when the alternative is Trump and Netanyahu? i.e. two of the biggest ****s in global politics of the last 50 years.

I am surprised this was made public:

    https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/white-house-press-defense-firms-boost-production-us-strikes-iran-draw-down-2026-03-06/

Ever since the Ukraine war started this potential vulnerability in Western armies has persisted. While it may have no effect on the current conflict it’s certainly something for any future major adversary to consider.

In Trump's favour, I think he does bring a refreshing honesty to the Empire.

The Department of War is doing great work, and Trump himself will be the decider of who next leads what's left of Iran.

And Gaza will be a great tourist destination for the rich and infamous. The Best.

And Cuba, you're up next for the Greatness.

It's not a binary choice. Except in their fantasies, Trump and Netanyahu cannot run a country of 90 million that has existed for centuries longer than either of theirs.

I would also add the complexity of many of the population are Shia, and while they may not like the government and how oppressive it is, at a religious level killing their religious leader isn't exactly going to endear them to the messaging from the US.

The approach to this war is completely tone deaf and shows the people involved are completely ignorant of the intricacies of the social structure in Iran, or worse, simply don't care (Israel).

If their is going to be regime change it's more likely Israel. Seems to be growing anger amongst Israeli's at having to be stuck in bomb shelters for ever longer periods of time. Surely they have to see that Bibi's decision to attack Iran was madness. Even with Uncle Sam backing them up. Trump is an idiot so I didn't expect him to see the perils. But Bibi has been in politics for over 40 years. Yes I know he was itching to attack Iran and for the US to be at the hip since 1986.

It seems likely that the U.S. position militarily in the M/East is irreversibly changed. All those countries with bases now see that America can't protect them. This war is also likely to have a profound effect on the psyche of Israelis as they witness the main city getting pummelled.

I reckon if this war drags out and fuel prices explode then there could be some civil unrest in the USA. Lots of people don't want this war but a fair chunk like the evangelicals, neocons and hardcore MAGAs are baying for blood.

The Iranians in Dublin clearly thank the USA for their actions last weekend. The group of 150 of them celebrating in O'Connell St Dublin included a few American flags among the old Iranian flags.

I've stopped dealing with Israeli user accounts in work, might get me in trouble but I dont care. Israelis and their country are a shitstain on humanity.

Darkjager21, you say "Israelis and their country are a shitstain on humanity"

What about Muslims who are happy working in Israel as some are, say working in hospitals there or as members of the Israeli army, the IDF. Are they shitstain on humanity too?

What's the classification? Btw not disagreeing with your point on the Jewish babies. Reminds me of what China have been doing to the Muslims that live there actually.

Fanatical terrorist state now bombing UN peace keepers.

Lebanese president says people injured after UN site struck by Israel

President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun is calling on his allies to help stop Israeli attacks on his country.

One of the latest attacks directly struck a site in southern Lebanon belonging to the United Nations peacekeeping force Unifil, with injuries caused among a Ghanaian contingent serving there, the president said in a statement.

The Ghana Armed Forces says two soldiers are critically injured and another has been traumatised by the attack, which also completely burnt down the officers' mess facility.

    https://www.euronews.com/2026/03/06/azerbaijan-says-it-stopped-iranian-terror-attacks-dismantled-terror-cells

Not only did Iran attack them but they planned 4 terrorist attacks which were thankfully twarted. 3 against Jews and 1 against pipeline infrastructure.

Azerbaijan are mobilising and they're pulling personnel out of Iran. I wouldn't be surprised if we see retaliation strikes. They've a very strong military. Worth keeping an eye on.

Some would say not much point in having U.N. soldiers in Lebanon if they cannot deter the Hezbollah missile attacks launched from Lebanon in to Israel.

If the Ghanian UN soldiers got hit, why were they not in bomb shelters instead of an Officers mess? Are the Irish peacekeepers not spending most of their time in shelters now?

When will Israel finally bring their war criminals to justice? Or even just vote them out

That’s some mental gymnastics you’re doing their for your terrorist state.

Why did they get in the way of Israeli bombs. Jesus. Deluded or disingenuous but definitely barking.

Why did Israel bomb UN peacekeepers is the only question here.

Anyone collaborating with the IDF is a shitstain in humanity, don't care what creed you are.

It's fair game to say if you support Nazi ideology you can get punched in the face like one,as you deserve. Good luck to your football fans later this year lol

We're Irish, we're neutral and I just want to say we don't condone violence. We won't be attacking any fans who travel here. Peaceful protests is what we're known for.

Well the US is apparently the one who killed 165 kids in a school so now Trump can add child killer to his pedophile badge.Who knows what shady **** the pedos in the IDF are up to though 🤷‍♂️

Insiders slam CBS News chief Bari Weiss's 'propaganda' war in Iran

CBS boss Bari Weiss is being accused of propaganda on this war. In a report by Dokoupil, their new news anchor, on the history of US-Iran relations, the report ignored the 1953 coup.

It blows my mind how badly this is working out for Iran. They're making an Israeli/Arabic alliance before our eyes. They should have just closed the sea, their neighbours wouldn't have been happy but they would have laid the blame on Israel. Instead they're calling them for help.

Part of me thinks because the leadership died minute one of this war, there was no cohesive response organised. It was just different parts of the military firing what they could at whoever they were aimed at. Making enemies out of Azerbaijan and Turkey for example is just crazy.

But the smaller gulf states shouldn't be underestimated. They've purchased some big weapon packages off the US and others.
