He totally took away from his own team during the game with all his bitching and moaning, I would take him a bit more seriously if his team wasn't in the bottom 3 for ball in play percentages. It's like he just read all the media bullshit and jumped on board. Mad himself looks a right gobshite

Depends on how often you want to get up to go to the bathroom, tbh🤣 I normally have 2-3 pints before in The Twelve Pins, 1 at the stadium and maybe 1 at HT. More after the game then, I'm not a big pre-game drinker though. Obvious enough but ensure you have your match ticket if you're going to a pub before the stadium, they won't let you in without it.

Ah deadly, have a great time. I think Necro gave some sage advice on drinking. You need to know how small the bladder is after breaking the seal!

Maybe you could run to the jacks when we get a corner and by the time you get back to your seat we will just about take it!

    I haven't been to a game in a very long time. ;(

Great result last night, but the games are still coming thick and fast. Everton are out of the cup so we play two games while they rest until the 14th of March.

That will be a tough one, but at least West Ham will be up for the visit of City, especially if Palace get something out of Spurs tonight.

I know i shouldn't watch it but that Jay Bothroyd has turned into an awful clown on ref watch, For an alleged Arsenal fan hes extremely anti Arsenal

Clown or knows what his audience want? There's more clicks and views and column inches in being anti Arsenal, so while I don't like it, I can understand it.

That said, I don't watch any of those shoes for precisely that reason, it's not really about analysis, it's about creating a product for the most amount of people possible.

Going to the Bournemouth game and changed to 12.30 for the sat but this will change if Arsenal progress in Champions league so not booking flights yet. More than likely switch to Sunday but Che$ki v Man City game down for 4.30 take it wont be that time more than likely 2 pm game on Sunday?

I have been to many games on a Sunday but at 4 pm so time enough to get to Stanstead after game with one or two post match drinks. Might stay the weekend but what are chances they change it to Monday although Man U v Leeds game on the Monday so doubt that.

So its wait and see and hope we beat Leverkusen just wish premier league will say if changed what date re fixed to

Something that's gone a bit under the radar is that 4 of our last 5 league games have been away from home. It was a tough stretch in hindsight:

    • Brentford: excellent at home, lost 2 all season
    • Wolves: Beat Villa & Pool and drew with us in the last 3 weeks
    • Spurs: They're obviously rank bad but with a brand new manager and a 12 day break before the NLD it was somewhat of an unknown.
    • Chelsea: Always a tough game despite our recent record against them
    • Brighton: Always cause us problems

3 wins and two draws isn't too shabby imo, and that includes the Wolves disaster. Say what you want but we're a damn hard team to beat.

Now four of our next five in the league are at home with City being the only away game. If we're in a similar position after those games then I'll start to believe.

Hürzeler has always come across as a bit of a muppet to me, so no surprise at his comments last night. At the end of the day we played shite and still beat you, so suck it up and do better

If this title race is going to come down to a series of significant moments, this will be one of them.

Forrest centre-back Murillo scrambled back to an open goal at the death knell to deny City a goal and 3 points.

City denied 2 extra points at home last night will prove vital given they have a game in hand over the Gunners

Where I was watching they showed a split screen of both games for the last minute or so of added time, nearly lost my life when that clearance off the line happened. Hopefully a significant moment

I think we will do it from here, 5 of the last 8 at home

City with the tougher fixtures and a tough champs league draw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,154 ✭✭✭✭salmocab

A draw at least at city is likely to be needed. I wouldn’t want to lose 3 points there that would leave things just too tight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,236 ✭✭✭wassie

Biggest challenge for both us and City is not only the sheer amount of football to be played, but some these will be high intensity games, especially where silverware is on the line.

All the while the danger games with clubs facing relegation or players contracts on the line. No easy games

This is the when the squad depth is truly going to be tested. Timber and Zubimendi have both played 40 games, Rice on 39 and Saka on 38 games already.

Also heard a stat during the game last night the Zubi has covered the most ground of any player in the PL this year with over 311km! The boy can run.

Team for Saturday in the Cup?

    Kepa

    White-Mosquera-Califiori-Hincapie

    Norgaard-LewisSkelly-Ode

    Dowman-Jesus-Madueke

Maybe Saliba for Hincapie if fit (Cali at left-back), as he missed last night. Salmon at RB if White still not fit.

I'd like to see Havertz involved for 45-60 minutes for much sharpness.

Was looking at the flashscore app and there is a big gap end of March/beginning of April. Is this an international break for world cup play offs + Easter weekend?

Upcoming gigs and events: Dry Cleaning, The Shawshank Redemption, Sprints, These Charming Men, Sasha Velour, Disorder Festival, David Byrne, The Cure, Garbage, Bob The Drag Queen, Sigur Ros, Olafur Arnalds, Cabaret Voltaire, Angine de Poitrine, Cardinals

Take it after the Champions league result although not sure still holding out booking flights Cant see anything online on possible times could fly early Sat back Sunday evening have family in London to stay with but just a PIA on the waiting for final date TBC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 795 ✭✭✭JohnDoe2025

I think the first weekend after the international break is FA Cup Quarter Finals which explains the longer gap.

If the british press are anything to go by, the Field Mill pitch is in a sorry state after weeks of recent heavy rains.

Hopefully theres not much rain forecast between now and Saturday, but I suspect its going to be heavy underfoot which could make it a fairly physical game against Mansfield. I'd be more worried about injuries than a loss this weekend.

I'm also heading to this match so was trying to figure it out earlier. I reckon if its changed it will either be pushed to 8pm Saturday or midday Sunday. Its on TNT sports, so they won't want it to clash with the Sky Sports double header 2pm & 4.30pm kick offs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,950 ✭✭✭Irish Gunner

Thinking same if 8pm sat its overnight stay midday Sunday can do in and out same day so holding out for final confirm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 991 ✭✭✭heffo500

It's possible that when West Ham play us in May, we need a point to win the League, and they need a point to stay up while also relegating Spurs….

It would be the most glorious nil all draw in premier league history.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,236 ✭✭✭wassie

Winning the league by beating City at home would be my preferred option.

I have no real ill will towards Spurs tbh. I'm not from North London, so I don't feel the London rivalry tbh. I don't really dislike Spurs as a club.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see them relegated, but if that's a minority opinion around here, then fair enough.

I'd feel a lot more dislike towards Chelsea and City. United and Liverpool to an extent, but I have grudging respect for them too.

you are the only Arsenal fan I know who feels like this but each to their own.

I had "the fear" the night Spurs played in Champions League final
