I could see it happening. Clubs are trying hard to relegate Spurs.

    Huge game tomorrow night.

We don't need anyone else's help...we're perfectly capable of going down purely on our own merit 😑

    one point from relegation

I really hope the players see this for what it is..

On form we are currently the worst team in the league. I would fancy Wolves, Forest, Leeds etc. to beat us in the coming weeks. We have a bunch of individuals who have played rubbish for the last number of months, we lack leadership, backbone and certainly aren't playing as a team. If we don't win tomorrow night we are going down.

I hope the players have read the small print in their contracts regarding the 50% pay cut if they get relegated.
It might motivate some of them to try harder or even get out of the treatment room.

I predict that we will do something tonight...just enough for Tudor to hold onto his job, like come from 2-nil down to draw 2-2. Then Dr Tottenham will roll up to Anfield and rollover. Tudor will leave. God knows who will be in charge foe the Forest game the following week.

Then there is a 3 week break? For once the international break is welcome - it will do the players good to get away from the place and some of them might even get to play in a team that knows how to win games!! That break away and that feeling of winning might just be the incentive thats needed.... plus a whole bunch of players should be back from injury and will have worked on their fitness during the 3 week break.

don’t understand all this about Tudor keeping his job chat..

Are we honestly all still thinking that this is a manager problem and that getting rid of him is the answer?

he is here for a short time to do one job.

I doubt he cares what happens, they went to him, he most likely doesn’t for a crap if he stays or goes.

This is going to be a really hard watch tonight. It is the most "must win match" we've had in decades.

I've found that watching games with the sound off lessens the pain.

American TV is the only way to watch PL anymore for me, Sky would do your nut in. This is the most must win game since the last must win game that we lost. 🤣🤣

I dont know how to feel anymore about Spurs, I never really thought I would see them relegated but this team is only going one way its that poor. A win tonight would lift the spirits but would anyone be surprise with 0-2 Palace result.

19 games is half a season. If you use that yard stick , we have 12 points from out last 19 games or an estimated 24 points for a season. That's the run of form we are in.

We need 9 points from somewhere. If there is no sign of significant improvement in the next 2 games then we are running out of road and may have to make a very extreme and very unorthodox move by hiring a new manager who will give the players the lift or the confidence or the cuddle or the slap or whatever it is that they need to beg, borrow or steal 9 points from somewhere.

oh ffs I forgot about Brennan! Guaranteed to score.

    Xavi on the bench?
    Who passes the ball forward?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,916 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Would.auve started Xavi ahead of Muani but good otherwise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,916 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Richy and Xavi at half time.if things are not going our way, none of this 70min substitutions shite

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭cal naughton

Xavi is a luxury player and a passenger in most games no harm trying something new as sticking with him was not working! Might do something off the bench with richy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭tom1ie

    If he’s played as a no10 he’s pretty effective.
If he’s played out of position he offers nothing.
He's about the only player, that is fit in the squad, that can pass the ball progressively and pick out a run.

Effective in the champions League only as a 10 . Different ball game in the epl he is too light. Looks like Tudor is trying to nick it tonight.

I’d say 1 goal, 4 assists and 27 chances created in the PL is more better in the starting 11 than not:

In the 2025/2026 Premier League season for Tottenham Hotspur, Xavi Simons has made

22 appearances (1,526 minutes), recording 1 goal, 4 assists, and 27 chances created

. He has also accumulated 4 yellow cards, 1 red card, and holds a 6.86 average FotMob rating.
