Add in Clinton - on the news tonight it was revealed he admitted getting a massage from an Epstein abuse survivor. If that happened to Trump, some here would be trying to put more dirt on Trump.

Question is, did Clinton give all that cash to Iran because Epstein had something on him.?

Instead I suspect this below probably representative of the prevailing opinion. My tiny survey of Iran ex-pats suggests strong suspicion of the US. Happy enough to see the regime damaged but no confidence that a US/Israeli attack will lead to a good outcome.

    First Spain...

"BBC Reported: 30 minutes ago, President Trump has announced the termination of all ongoing trade negotiations with Canada, citing what he called “unfair practices” and pledging to prioritize U.S. economic independence."

He's causing untold damage to international relationships, political instability to the middle east and economic damage to US, and like the lemmings they are, his MAGA crew will gladly follow him of the cliff. We are SEVEN months away from the mid terms and can only see things getting worse.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

I'm pretty sure no poster views Bill Clinton to be particularly clean in the Epstein situation. He did follow through and answered all questions. Meanwhile Trump had a pretty similar relationship with Epstein and appears to have engaged in an invasion to dodge discussing it.

In honour of Saint Patty, they could bring Trump some kind of Waterford crystal or golden tray with a couple of cold Big Mac meals on it and Shamrock shake(s) poured into in a giant crystal goblet! Nothing more Irish than that, and also more memorable and significant than a jet to my mind. Should I be working for the Department of Foreign Affairs? 🤔

edit: see another poster made this joke already, oh well!

That is a very misleading statement. He actually said he had a neck massage. A very different meaning.

Yeah in the "news" conference he held with Merz during which he took a swipe at [Angela] Merkel, the former German chancellor, on the way he took a swipe at Starmer.

Best way is to be diplomatically impolite or insecure, accidentally let slip/say something bad about Trump so that he hears about it and puts you on the disinvited [you wont see Mikey again] list.

As Spain is in the EU, and the EU works as a bloc where trade deals [one for all, all for one] are concerned, is the EU going to have to inform Rubio and the US Trade ambassador that Trump has terminated the trade talks?

Has there been any verifiable accounting for this "30,000" figure that keeps getting bandied about?

At best, I've seen a verified figure of 7007 named deaths by HRANA by the end of February, the activist group on the ground in Iran who have been the only organisation that has been trying to get a real handle on the numbers by tracking the names of the dead.

And while 7000+ dead protesters is nowhere near this 30,000 figure, it's still a shocking number.

If he is terminating ongoing trade negotiations with Canada to replace the present USMCA then that 2020 agreement that his own administration negotiated and he signed with Canada and Mexico would still stand for any reputable country signing such agreeements .

But then the U.S. is no longer a reputable country, and this latest from Trump on Canada is a further lesson to anyone that negotiating with him on anything is nothing but a waste of time when he will throw his toys out of the pram with his next hissy fit.

Far as I know the E.U. has more or less done that, but in a diplomatic manner.

They have suspended any work on ratifying the original 15% tariff deal until the U.S. clarifies exactly what Trump`s latest tariff brain-fart on imposing a 10% or 15% global tariff, (Trump himself doesn`t appear to know which), now that the Supreme Court has gutted his original Independence Day tariffs means as regards the E.U.

Paramount not commenting on rumours 3 Arab states Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar are contributing to the money for the takeover of Warner Brothers.

In the Democratic Texas Senate primary, Talarico is only 69,000 votes ahead of Jasmine Crockett. Talarico is doing well in small rural counties while Crockett is doing better in the population centres. 60% of the vote is in. She is saying she will file a lawsuit to keep the polls open longer.

Talarico is a pastor and has been described as trying to revive the "Religious Left". He supports the separation of Church and State, but is also Bible-citing like Bill Clinton was (without the scandals).Hes currently ahead about 51.8-46.9. Talarico went on Joe Rogan's programme last June where Rogan said he should run for president.

Some Democratic primary voters were confused by rules requiring them to vote in their precinct rather than in a central location as normal in this primary. Some voters were turned away because of this. Crockett, a Black woman, is saying voters were "disenfranchised".

Crockett is seen as more outspoken. She said that Hispanics had a "slave mentality" if they voted for Donald Trump. Trump won most Texas Hispanics I think, including in the Rio Grande Valley. There was a generational divide, with older Hispanic women still voting for Harris and younger ones voting Trump. Talarico is doing better with Hispanics.

Texas Supreme Court has overturned a lower court ruling that allowed longer opening hours for voting. Looks like result of this primary wont be known tonight. The court has ordered that votes that came in after 7PM local time should not be counted.

The Senate Republican primary is headed to a runoff. Needs to reach 50%. Senator John Cornyn, seen as part of the Establishment, is ahead 43-40 over the more populist Texas State AG Ken Paxton. Paxton was impeached by the Texas State House over corruption allegations, but the State Senate did not and the State House was bullied by the WH into reversing the impeachment. A third Republican primary candidate Hunter got 12%. Cornyn accusing Paxton of "indefensible failures in office".

I think you are a little confused. It was Obama that "gave" the money to Iran - the return of frozen funds that were unfrozen because Iran agreed to the terms of the JCPOA deal.

    trumps war.
    tariffs to be paid back.
    Ballroom to be built
    kennedy centre getting done up
could be an expensive time for Trump.

Yeah, I live by the motto, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. I dont need to be praying to some imaginary ghost in the sky to learn how to be a good person

Texas State Supreme Court overturned a lower court order that allowed the public vote after 7PM to be counted in the count of votes cast, which means any votes cast after 7PM are not to be included in the count of votes cast. That is deprivation for no good reason, a judicial ruling telling the voter your votes don't count if you did not vote before 7PM.

You are quire right. Hillary Clinton, while sercetary of State, was the one who started talks to give 400 million dollars, in cash, to Iran. That was paid in cash, on pallets in a u.s. plane to Iran. Epstein has a lot to answer for in blackmailing Clinton.

Trump did not give cash to the despicable Iranian regime.

Why do you keep mentioning ID? I heard it talked about only once in my US years. Standing in line in 2008 I think and a couple from somewhere like Georgia were loudly talking about how they couldn't believe you only needed your voter card. Who was going to stop the fraud? I had to bite my tongue not to engage and ask them why anyone would commit a serious federal offence to be one vote in millions? And of course also ask them if what they were really interested in was stopping minorities voting. Because we all know that is what it's really about.
