Like the title says, viewed a council house and accepted it after 9 years waiting absolutely buzzing feel so lucky. Have the appointment next week for something like the tenancy agreement to sign, I don't need to provide anything except my ID and first weeks rent. Will I be getting the keys then? The place is completely ready. Where I stay at the minute is absolutely grim and I really want to get out so I just want to know as to not get my hopes up.

If you're handing over rent, then yes you should be getting keys that day.

You should ask the council. You don't want to make arrangements which fall apart.

Yeah it happens that fast it is scary how fast it happens. One day you are told you are going on a house induction course and it feels like half an hour later you are trying to work out how to move everything from A to B. Planes trains and automobiles. So says my sister in law.
