    Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a garden landscaper in the city?
Small city garden. What kind of price would I be looking at? It’s pretty dull at the moment with a shed that’s falling down

Did you try Golden Pages or a local directory or the local handymen in your area?
Them guys usually know what other types are around.

    They're probably looking for recommendations

A&A Kainos on Facebook. Now I haven't used them but they were recommended to me and I've been looking at the work they've been putting up and they will be the first people I call when I move soon.

I've posted before recommending Andzrej and the A&A Kanios team, and I was going to add them here but i was afraid it'd look like I was him and just spamming my business! :pac:

Seriously however, Had my back garden done by them in the middle of last year.
Split levels, lawn, sandstone patio and walls with drainage.
Fantastic work and really great attention to detail.
Lots of little touches done that would never have occured to me.

Theres already 4 recommendations for the lad on this thread, one thats now 7yrs old.
Showing his longeivity and a lack of complaints.
If you want more recent experience?
I had him back in 2024 to lay brick paving in my front garden, move a wall, extend my rear patio, widen my driveway build a new front wall, garden pillars and extend gates.
I have nothing left for him to do, but if I did?
I'd have no hesitation in hiring him again.

got a quote from Kanios (eventually), a couple of weeks ago - seems very busy and getting a quote by text without any detail was not what I was expecting considering it was a bit on the expensive side

going to try Foleys next and if and if anyone has any other suggestions please send on

will prob be an autumn job now and missed the summer but not in a huge rush to get it done

    Be careful with Kanios

Have in writing exactly what needs to be done and make sure rubble is not just buried in the beds!!

I won't be going with them - no plan, no itemized list of works to be completed or costs associated….All I got was a text message quote 3 lines long which was way over what I would have expected to pay.

We had some other work done recently by another tradesman and he gave a me full list of jobs to be done, sequence to be done and no pressure to pay from me. Job was first class and cost me 12k. Kanios want double that and more based on text message quote with nothing else to go by.

TBH it was very unprofessional and if that's how it looks at the start of the process then I fear the worst once they are onsite.

A former work colleague had them over a while back and told me to steer clear and I said I'd check anyway but he was 100% correct.
