As long as they're not the people on the run from CAB and the Gardai…

Couldn't give a toss about them: they made their choice to sell their souls for tax breaks.

I'll be outraged if the Irish government has to spend a single cent on consular assistance to these parasites.

India Air travel is in disarray today due to both Iran and Ukraine air space closed

Gas prices at one stage went up 42% and it is only the begining of this. Global economy will be thrashed in a few days

Mr. Trump boasted about 2.000 hits on Iran yesterday - some of which were on shown on TV. Scary stuff.

Where are the protestors ? Sheltering from the way over the top onslaught by the expert city flatteners - Israel

Think of the size of the country club the Donald can build in Iran. The Gaza Riveria "plan" is only in the ha'penny place.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,152 ✭✭✭Paulzx

Listening to Hegseth talking crap in live briefing.

This is a full on cult now. They are actually brain washed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,929 ✭✭✭amandstu

Someone elsewhere suggesting that this may be all about the annexation of Gaza via a further weakening of Iran.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,152 ✭✭✭Paulzx

Hegesths briefing is like watching a Hollywood "hoorah" movie. All he's short of doing is finishing up by saluting the flag behind him.

The USA is gone. They will never come back as a credible, trusted nation. They will only stay relevant in the future by force, threats and strong arming their "allies"

    A truly horrible nation

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

Vomit inducing US press conference being shown right now with Secretary of state spewing his pathetic justifications for this latest war - how the fck anyone believes his b0ll0x is beyond me- but you know that Trump and MAGA are always on thin ice when they over explain and come across all gutsy sounding and shouty

PS- I didnt read the latest posts here before posting this but lovely and reassuring that others had the same negative reaction to the press briefing 👍

In fairness to trump he didn't start this war to get elected, he started it to distract from him being a pedo.

Hegseth: "Israel has clear missions as well for which we are grateful. Capable partners are good partners, unlike so many of our traditional allies who wring their hands and clutch their pearls, hemming and hawing about the use of force ... no stupid rules of engagement."

Now we have it! The reason Kelly was sued was because he reminded the military not to act on illegal orders. That stuck in Trump's craw, because he knew there would come a time where he wanted the military to do what he wanted, regardless.

As far as I can see, disregarding rules of engagement is illegal.

Can't wait for the military to stand up and be counted here, after all, we were told they wouldn't act on an illegal order, right?

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

But surely Mar a Lago is ultra secure? After all, they have that super high tech black drape they put around the Commander in Chief while he's playing war.

Delicious irony in the first ever combat losses for the F-15 being from friendly fire in the Paedo Wars

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,637 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

Hegseths latest: The air attack is laser-focused, to destroy the Navy and production sites so they WILL NEVER HAVE nuclear weapons. But….. Don said the Iranians have nuclear weapons.

How does one attack and destroy production sites capable of producing nuclear weapon technology with destructive capability without a resultant leak of nuclear material [fissionable and otherwise] into the atmosphere and population? Is this another case of the known unknowns and unknown unknowns, a fortune-teller looking into a cloudy glass ball?

Going abroad to earn a decent living , to save for a home at home, and to see some of the world while they are young-

And you call them parasites ?

Trump will send an invoice to Kuwait and have the proceeds sent to his new overseas Venz oil account.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 436 ✭✭17togo

A couple of posters here with that attitude, honestly it's disgusting. Complete bitterness. How dare young people go travel and work abroad. They should be slaves to their home country until they've paid back every cent. Sounds like something north Korea would demand. 🙄🙄

I saw some pictures and it’s so secure that rather than leave a secure area with top secret documents they put a toilet in the safe room so you can crap while being in a secure environment

How anyone in the US military can look and listen to Hesgeth and think "that's my guy, that's my leader" is beyond me. He's like a Ken doll playing as a shite GI Joe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,195 ✭✭✭✭Captain Chaos

They have been shot down many times (2 or 3 in the 91 Gluf War alone), just no F-15 has ever lost an air to air engagement.

Just seen this on twitter, I wonder what happens now

"Iran is supposed to play a FIFA World Cup 2026 match in Los Angeles in 106 days"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,337 ✭✭✭✭Boggles

They have rarely been shot down in anger. 2 in total for the Americans.

The vast vast majority are accidents with some being friendly fire.

The first Gulf War, 3 were lost, but one was on ground when it was hit.

I dispise the trump and Israel

But the Iranian where on another level far worse

So if this succeeds ok I will that as a win

Hegset and the rest of trumps incompetents are not running this show...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,004 ✭✭✭yagan

I don't mind someone going to the Middle East for a few years to make money. I do have a problem with people not knowing there's a risk and being totally taken in by the superficials.

Anyway this global turbulence is going to wreck Trump's demand for rate cuts. Inflation in the US was already ticking up again and thanks to this war it will be elevated by the midterms.

By my calculations, looking at how the Asia qualifiers panned out and FIFA's corruption, I think it highly likely that the UAE would take Iran's spot if Iran had to pull out.

Yes. Working in the middle east petrostates isn't the same thing as "going abroad to earn a decent living" in a civilised state where you'll have to pay income tax. Those that choose to emigrate there for work are making the concious decison to put their personal enrichment above the basic human rights of others.

Going to work in a state that engages in slavery, that deprives women and LGBTQ people of their human rights is beyond immoral and, as far as I'm conerned, those parasites can spend their own blood money to escape from the consequences of their own poor decisions.
