    Prices change daily.

As above, price changes this week on the forecourts will relate to the 10% jump in Brent oil prices since mid February AND the jump in refining fees of $8 (25%) in the same period.

Combined they equate to about 10c per litre.

Sadly, the standard of journalism in the likes of the indo and daily muck is so poor, that they will not understand that refining is a big element of cost and will sensationalise any forecourt change and make it look like it's a sudden jump due to the expected oil price rise tomorrow.

And some people will simply believe their rubbish.

I know you posted before, but because Boards shittified their search when switching to Vanilla, would you mind providing a few links to the main pricing factors (or your old post of you can find it)? I'd be curious to track it myself.

    The truth doesn't lie.

I think after refining costs it's the crude price and dollar v euro but could be wrong, possibly better websites out there but these are where I keep track. https://www.marketwatch.com/

    https://www.neste.com/investors/market-data/oil-products

If you keep looking back you'll never see what's in front of you

Local suppliers will only have a set capacity. Once they sell that, they are buying new supplies at a higher price.

My guess is that anyone with oil heating is checking their tanks and placing orders.

So the better priced suppliers are selling out and they simply have to reprice higher.

    Margins on kero are miniscule.

Remember this has nothing to do with the recent events in the middle east....all this weekend raises are perfectly normal....it just refinery costs, that where just due today, by coincidence, no rest on Sundays, for some it seems 🤔

I normally find right price oil the cheapest here in Galway, but a 47euro increase on a Sunday 🙁

I ordered on line yesterday with mr oil wexford, 500L for €489, now online price €529.

Had to order as I was circling the end of the barrel. Got hit hard.

I love the way it goes up overnight, but takes months to work the drops through. If they ever land on our side.

Not exactly true. Thats our "Loss Aversion Bias" kicking in. The pain of losing (or paying more) is much more powerful than the joy of gaining (or paying less).

A sudden shock (or concerns of) to supply will cause a rapid increase like when US hit Iran last year. But then prices fell rapidly afterwards also, albeit to a higher level than the previous low.

Have they honoured this price or have you had it confirmed?

I ordered yesterday too, 482 for 500l but haven't received any confirmation. Money came out of my account though!

I phoned Klaas Oil as that's the name on the transaction - order confirmed, website was just acting up.

Price for 500l is now €589!

Nothing like a good old fashioned war to boost the big oil companies profits

I just looked back at my order history to 2022.

I paid 708e for 500l in June that year.

Cheapest was June last year at 452.

Right Price Oil was €488 for 500l yesterday for Kildare, was up to €589 by today. Raging I didn't just order!

Cill Dara Oil was €489 when I checked at 7am this morning but was €589 by my break at 10am.

At 10am the best I could find was Naas Oil at €509 for 500l so I went ahead with that order.

When I checked at 10.45 Naas Oil was already up to €579, however some crowd Texoil have appeared with €489 all of a sudden. Damn!

stop talking rubbish, this price increase overnight has absolutely nothing to do with the war in the Middle east, its linked with a whole list of other criteria

    :)
