    Hi All,

I want to start a SaaS company, I've worked within tech support for over 15 years and now I'm looking to build a SaaS product within the HR sector, what I wanted to know is where can I meet other people who have gone on the journey as I would like some advice as starting funds are low but I want to get something created before going to Enterprise Ireland looking for a grant. any advice is very much appreciated.

My honest advice? Don't do it!

I've been in SaaS my whole life and without serious funding behind you. It'll be pretty much impossible.

LEO will give you matching funds only. You'll need at least 10k to be taken seriously. EI deal with larger well-backed companies that have a management team and user base already.

Even vibe coding; you'll need programming knowledge. As a single, non-technical founder without capital. You'll be at a huge disadvantage. Well-backed competitors from low-cost countries.

If you wish to do this anyway. Stick to a sector you know. And start by doing something for free, that your competition charge money for. Y-Combinator is the SaaS founders go-to resource.

    Best of luck!
