Absolutely no idea what this team means. And please don’t tell me that you will reply to me privately to explain. Explain to everyone so that we all understand.
Is it something like a Tourette’s syndrome where people randomly post “ borked “ to make them selves seem important . I have used the platform regularly for discussions and debates over the years and have never experienced this “ borked “ phenomena.

Well you obviously noticed it was "borked" or someone stated it was "borked" otherwise you wouldn't know what the term "borked" meant? Borked here means it's not working right, as in broken or fecked amongst other terms AFAIK.

It usually means that a thread is stuck on rolling over to a new page. Sometimes you get a page not found error or sometimes the thread shows new posts but when you click into it you dont see them.

Maybe related to deleted posts or lomg running threads. Dunno.

The situation remedies itself when more posts are made to the thread. A poster making such a post purely to shift the thread into displaying the next page content will often mention bork in the post.

Depends on how frequently you check the thread and how active it is, how quickly other posters 'unbork' it. It only affects some threads and only on page rollover. Sometimes it would not be obvious there is a post or two in limbo. You might have missed a few posts without realising it - you would see the new posts on page eg 49. But boards thinks you have also seen the first post of page 50 - you havent. And when you return to the thread it will jump you over post 1 and onto post 2 of page 50.

…are just pointless because they will never be un-borked, so why add and not just leave it as a proper thread title?

I’d imagine that at the time the new thread was made, it was presumed the issue would be temporary and they could go back the old one. But I think it’s that while Vanilla doesn’t “bork” after 10,000 posts like vBulletin did, it will still “bork” at some point.
