The Iranian people have had enough of the mullah's after 47 years.

    Shia v Sunni won't happen.

Iran's military & navel capacity is being dismantled and by the end of the week will be pretty much incapacitated.

Western civilians will have no bearing in this campaign

The US is not imploding month by month, besides you don't live there so you wouldn't know.

The regime is still supported by some from the blue collar, MAGA demographic, more religiously devout and less educated than the university students we see on TV. They tend not to speak English and probably distrust journalists. After fifty years of bad government their numbers must have dwindled but they have the guns.

Iran has around 1m troops at its disposal (one of the biggest militaries in the Middle East) - limited air strikes by the US and Israel are not going to leave it incapacitated.

As usual they’re filing this information for the future and playing the waiting game. At this rate America may implode on its own.

But most of it's air force and navy and missile sites will be….

America will not remain effective militarily if it can’t pay its debts. The trends are becoming hard to ignore.

The Israelis and US aren't even thinking in this direction. It would be impossible to defeat Iran militarily by just firing a load of missiles at them - their armed forces will still be in place next week and the week after and in six months time. Russia has spent four years firing missiles at Ukraine with relatively little success.

US & Israel and soon the UK have way better missile capabilities than Russia. Ukraine has had huge fiscal & arm's backing from other countries. Iran are on their own.

Anyone who has studied the case of Hind Rajab will know Israel doesn't need an excuse to murder children.

And Hind was just one of approximately 20,000 children murdered by the genocidal Netanyahu regime.

As for uranium enrichment - what a feckin' joke - of course Iran wants a nuclear weapon, and why not.

Since Oct 7 the genocidal settler colonial experiment, known as Israel, carried out nearly 35,000 recorded attacks across five countries: the occupied Palestinian territory, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran.

And people seem genuinely surprised that Iran would want to develop a nuclear weapon.

I'm sure officials in the likes of Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Turkey are now scratching their heads and wondering whether development of a nuclear weapon might be a worthwhile goal, given the criminal antics of the Zionist rogue state.

Civil war seems a distinct possibility. The two sides even look different - anti-govt people seem to be younger, vivacious and Western-dressed, the pro-govt ones older, dour and conservatively dressed. But they certainly exist, and even if the opposition manages to take control there will be a significant conservative power base with an attachment to the policies of the past 47 years.

3 US soldiers have been killed and 5 wounded in this conflict.

I live next door and am fairly well acquainted with it. One doesn’t have to live in a place to know about it these days. Nobody mentioned months - decades are when one begins to see changes of this sort. Like many countries, America has a debt problem that it is failing to address and it also has very serious political divisions now.

I am watching Sky News and the reporter just said that Ayatollah Khamenei was the leader of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. That is just fake news. It's factually incorrect. There were 2 "supreme leaders" with very similar names.

    1. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
    2. Ayotollah Ali Khamenei

This is basic stuff, they need to get that right. The first lad died in 1989. My fault for watching their dopamine addict station. I got rid of Sky well over 10 years ago but found it recently on Saorview - why is it on Saorview?

Read back on the posts and you will see the moth by month comment!!

Most countries have a debt problem

Every country has serious political divisions., besides President Trump won the Popular Vote, the Electorial College, took all 7 Swing States, took The House and the Senate, hardly sound's seriously divisive to me!!

You should calm down and stop attributing scenarios from your head as something I said.

Yeah, fun will start. Seeing how energy companies and everyone else will start making fun out of us. When petrol and gas go up everything else will go up. Funniest thing on it all will be the fact that after this war ends and straits will fully reopen then prices will stay up anyway.

The doctors in Gaza told us that Israeli snipers were shooting children for kicks and giggles. Don't you remember? They would pick a different body part every day to hone their skills. Heroic stuff from the brave IDF some lads admire.

What did Israel do in response? They banned the doctors (MSF).

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

The deadliest single incident occurred in the city of Minab in southeastern Iran, where a strike on an elementary girls school reportedly killed at least 148 people and injured 95. The attack occurred on Saturday, and the death toll has been climbing since.

The USA has lost the plot. I suppose they've stopped talking about Epstein...

France, Germany and the UK, as well as the Gulf states, are considering joining in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,423 ✭✭✭patnor1011

A lot of talk over there that this happened exactly because of Epstein files. He was Israeli man getting compromat on who is who list of people. Some of what was released was not checked properly. A lot was deleted in "hacking attack" but some is still there and government is furiously going over it not to overlook something damaging going out. I suppose this attack was timed exactly to take people mind off those things at least for a while. If some of what is suspected really happened, then Iranian regime crimes pale in comparison to what was going on.

Looks like France, UK & Germany are going to enter the war to take 'defensive action' to limit Iran's military capabilities. How come these countries didn't offer to militarily stop the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Bibi started the fight with Iran and now is getting bitch slapped despite US backing.

If you believe that Israel is committing genocide and/or ethnic cleansing against Gazans, then the cui bono becomes clear - civilian casualties would be part of that. But even if Israelis were the cheap cartoon villains some would paint them as, they'd have nothing to gain to murdering schoolchildren in Iran.

I broadly agree that belligerents in wars have a duty not to target civilians, but firstly I don't know of any conflicts in modern history where there has not been at least some collateral damage, and secondly, Iran, Russia and its allies intentionally target civilians extensively. Russia's wars have focused extensively on killing as many civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure to the greatest extent possible and its been their playbook in Ukraine, Syria, Chechnya and other places. Iran, same story, their targets are civilians via their terrorist proxies, commercial shipping and so forth.

Has there ever been a situation in history where a completely militarily dominant country (countries) bombs the fùck out of a soverign country repeatedly ...killing their leader and innocent children etc......and if that same attacked country attempts to retaliate - they are deemed to be terrorists?

The Gaslighting out of these cùnts is unreal.....

Warmongering fùckers that would make Putin proud.…

Iran have hit Jerusalem for the first time tonight. Dozens of ambulances have been pouring to area. Very fast that thing !

Are you trying to suggest that Israel was unprovoked?
