Fair play to Jack great final frame. Hope beats Barry Hawkins tomorrow.

It's great to see an attacking player who backs himself to pot his way to the win. Delighted for Jack, a well deserved win against a well in form John Higgins.

Lisowski won that last frame because he threw caution to the wind and went for his shots. I hope he remembers that tomorrow.

Well Jack couldn't be accused of not going for his shots tonight.

If anything he's been back to being a bit too aggressive.

Jayus to even think of that shot nevermind execute it.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Ann Yates, a name you might have heard in the dim and distant tv coverage of the 1980s died last month.

She had been tournament director at WPBSA during the 80s and 90s, and was originally from Cork.

    Rest in Peace.

Aaron Hill will be playing Gary Wilson in the World Open at 11.30am Tuesday.

Ronnie is back playing in this event in China.

His last tour event before Sheffield.

Wilson wins 3 in a row to take it 5-4

Big win for Moody against Higgins. Higgins has been on fire recently.

Ironically Ronnie got a win because his opponent pulled out

Joined the Ronnie match in frame 4. Missed this happening live in Frame 1, but will be watching back later. Incredible stuff.

    Wow. Almost the 155 too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

Some shots in there including the final black along the top rail

WST have it on YouTube, so should stay up.

Typical Ronnie break: near perfect position, lots of little nudges and canons, fast-paced. Slightly unlucky with position after 3rd last red.

In the next frame he thought he had a 147, having forgot he'd potter the first red. But imagine having a 147 as your second highest break in a match!

awful pity that wasn’t in the UK the ovation we would have got would have immense

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

Possibly the second last red he might not have hit so hard and it might have been a better chance to stay on the black.

Or at least less risk of moving black off the spot.

He is just playing his natural game and in the moment there isn't time to second guess the shot.

Quite muted reaction I think due to the time of day and as you say it being in China. Will do his stratospheric reputation in China no harm.

Imagine if he'd saved that for Sheffield next month!

Cracking game here Ronnie vs Wu.

We're going to be seeing a lot of Wu in the future.

Edit - Ronnie into his 66th ranking events final.

Yes Wu Yize is on the up and up

Un Nooh has done very well for himself here. Ronnie 3 down with 3 to play.

Quality stuff, 6 centuries, 5 of them in the last 6 frames including a maximum.

When did Un Nooh turn into superman?

Very enjoyable final between two natural talents, fluent, attacking snooker.

Delighted for Un-Nooh, how he plays he really should have had many more days like today.

Others ranked far higher would have buckled at 4-0 down, at 7-6 down, and after his 147, (not to mention the missed pink at the end of his Semi with Trump): fair dues to him.

Well he missed a 147 at the UK championship on the final black about 10 years back, so he knows what it is like on the other side of a fine margin.

Highest scoring match I’ve ever been witness to.

Ronnie is in very good form, he’ll be a danger at the worlds. Who knows what Un-Nooh will do next? Probably lose 10-2 to someone in the top 64 in crucible qualifiers
