2011 Skoda Octavia, with fuel injector problem - any value

2011 Octavia diesel engine.

I don't know the entire story, but there have been problems with fuel injectors over last few years.

Three or four times.

€2,000 spent on fixing them.

Happened again this week, car off the road again. Quote of €700 to fix.

The owner mentions maybe scrapping the car.

I was thinking - surely it must have some value, even with this issue?

It probably has value for someone who can fix it without getting charged labour or who can fix it full stop. But the labour element makes it expensive to fix otherwise.

Is there much mileage on the car? Decent maintainence record?

If it's the 1.6 TDI then the only solution for these is to buy 4 brand new genuine injectors of the updated design, it's no good putting in second hand ones or changing only one or two
