Anyone have a Segway Navimow, wonder how they compare to a Mammotion?

I see the below is due out this spring, im seriously thinking of investing in one this year….

@Delboy5 yep I have the i108. Great little machine, cant fault it. Cutting about 500sqm of level grass.

Brother has the Luba (2 I think), his ground would be a bit rougher than mine but it seems to do a great job too.

Yes, I have a Navimow X330e, I actually purchased it from Gerry Croffey last September, and I put it to work, right up until early December. It'll soon be time to put it back out again! I am very happy with it, but it is my first and only direct experience with a robot, so I cannot say really how it compares to Mammotion. It was pretty simple to setup and configure, completely DIY setup, the phone app is pretty user friendly, so I had no trouble at all getting going. I did have to do a few tweaks to the mapping early on, as I figured more things out, but overall, very simple.

I can see that my machine is already "last years model" and is discounted quite a bit from what I paid. The new "x430" model, presumably is what replaces my model, actually really resembles the Mammotion design and has AWD.

If it uses a boundary wire then there's no real programming as such, you may need to create a new "loop signal" so that it "sees" the boundary wire.

Anyone know if the automower app for Husqvarna, gives detail on the service history? Mine just says the date , I was hoping it would give more detail on what parts were changed etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 795 ✭✭✭vidapura

Nahh.. just lookin at my app there.. nothing on it really other than total run time etc..
I got it on paper from the dealer the last time I got it serviced there in October.

If you are thinkin of buying maybe find out where it was serviced and ask the dealer.

Is it time to get the ole automower back out into the garden lads?

I'm thinkin the freezes are probably over for the year. The grass seems to be growing again.

I put my robot out on Friday. There definitely is a little growth now. It is probably a little on the early side though. I doubt I ever cut the lawn manually before Paddy's Day.

@vidapura if you go to More and then to support it gives you your previous service dates, I was hoping it would give more detail in it.

Yah… Im itchin to get it back on the job. But the only time I had had trouble with it in 4 years is when we get icy conditions.. seems to end up spinnin wheels in some corner that it never normally does..

And Ive experienced plenty of hail showers at Patricks Day parades.. so… humm…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 795 ✭✭✭vidapura

    Well I never !

    Thanks!

Yah.. bit light on detail there eh? 😂 .. pathetic..
Actually my ones aren't even right says I got it done twice on the 11-12-2025 .. ehh.. wrong!
I've had it serviced every year since I got it and those dates aren't showin at all.. just 2025.. ffs..

My friend has a WIPER F28 robot mower, which is a great machine on slope, rough terain etc, but his is extreme loud ! I'd love one of these but this noise would drive me mad everyday! Is there something wrong with his, or are all Wipers this way?? Any other robot mower I saw was silent.

Never heard of that brand, but my Segway Navimow is whisper quiet. Can barely hear anything and there’s even a “night mode” setting which apparently makes it even quieter (haven’t tried it).

just a heads up that there is a prediction of cold nights with frosts around the start of March

Atkins in Cork have a Spring sale at the moment, some good discounts, especially on the older models.

Sorry I am unable to insert the link.

Mine out a while now, didn't seem to stop growing much over the winter at all……

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 326 ✭✭Eeshaw

Last year I tidied the grass monthly, not so this year. I cut the grass a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 3months.

My Flymo 1200R is starting it's 7th season. It's had one new wheel in that time, nothing more. I'm happy with that.

Yah,I saw that coming and have held off now until this week. But I am seeing 0C for Tuesday.. so I might leave it a bit yet.

I might fire up the ould petrol and do the edges and high spots just to help things out.. but the ground is fair wet still here…

I have a Landroid M500 for 4 years now. It cuts my lawn, drives over gravel to another part of the lawn , but struggles big time returning to dock as it always uses the exact same path , has a few corners to navigate and my lawn is very thatchy and mossy, it gets stuck a lot when returning to dock. Probably 50% of the time, which requires manual intervention. I have tried a lot but it is just the quality of my lawn plus the feature of the mower (returning on boundary wire).
I was looking at the Luba mini, as it has 4WD, and no boundary wire. The only thing from hesitating buying it is the amount of edging that would need to be done. Having said that with the Landroid I had to edge as well, probably narrower edge than with the Luba mini, but if you are out there with the strimmer, does it really matter whether you strim 5 or 10 com ? I could wait for the Luba mini 2, that has a second disk for getting closer to the edge, but it is about €400 more expensive and probably still needs edging anyway ( against walls- I don't really have anywhere where I could get the mower to drive over the edge a bit, it is either walls or kerbs where it would likely fall off..)
Any experiences , how bad is the edge cut of the Luba Mini AWD ? Any other considerations ?

Navimow have released a couple of new all- wheel drive models, I don't own one myself but their customer support seems to get positive reviews.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 182 ✭✭JeanRasczak

I bought the Landroid vision, works better in this situation. I wanted to stick with landroid as I have loads of betteries and other garden tools

You can get good deals via Amazon germany and use Shipgerman…..might work out cheaper

Hi, new to robot lawnmowers and looking for one for my small garden, should be approx 79m2. Its basically square except for one small area for the heat pump. Had a look at some brands like Segway but they seem like they might be overkill for a small garden but not sure. Looking for one where I don't need a wire. Being good at cutting edges and a dock it returns to would be good too. Would be great to get some recommendations, thanks!

The Lawnmaster OcuMow is very good basic wire free mower for a simple shaped, level garden.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 107 ✭✭ReverseGiraffe

That Ocumaw looks good from what im reading, I was looking at the Segway 105E initially because it has a dock and can just set and forget but obviously way more expensive. Would there be something closer to the Ocumaws price range that has an outdoor dock? Would the Ocumaw be messy bringing it in and out of the house and would using it once a week be enough for it? Definitely considering it appreciate the recommendation

    I got a new navimow h230 recently

Uses lidar as well as gps i think. Mapping working very well so far and it's cutting in nice straight lines compared to my old wire-based robot which didn't know where it had cut previously

Only problem is it's leaving clumps of grass uncut in places even after two cuts. I wonder if this is because I was sending it to grass that was too long? It may have been 70mm in places.

I set it to cut at 55mm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭platypuss

yea, to long. set to 60 or whatever it's highest is and drop down 5mm a day

My Husqvarna has Loop signal loss, I checked loop wire and I have continuity, voltage between AL and AR is 6.6v DC, is my circuit board in trouble or is it the power supply?

i had similar, I think you are well under voltage, that adapter is putting out somewhere in the high 20s volts, start with a multimeter test on the adapter, try a few minutes fully unplugged and it can reset.

I found the following page helpful when troubleshooting, https://www.roboticmowerservices.com/post/troubleshooting-a-no-loop-signal-error-on-a-husqvarna-automower#viewer-5b9mc
