Other half and daughter in New York and Jersey Gardens. I was in lego store before there and they have reduced sets. Usually as damaged boxes. I asked her to send me pic of what sets are in it there which she did 5 mins ago. Funny they have bricklink sets there as well.

Shame they don't do that in Ireland as I am sure sets get damaged.

I just asked her how much snow white set was and its 153 there as reduced in that sale pile.

December 2017 I ordered the Millenium Falcon 75192 from Lego for 799 euro. At the time there were those AIB offers with which I got 10% off, or cash back, so essentially paid 719 euro for the set. It then sat in the attic until we moved to South Africa in 2021. It was shipped with our belongings, and has been sat in the garage here since. Over 8 years and it hasnt been taken out of the box that Lego shipped it in.

I have now asked a friend to make us a coffee table especially for this set to be displayed. He lives like 8 hours away so will have to see when I can actually collect it, hopefully in 4-5 weeks from now. Then start building the set. Then see which other Star Wars sets will fit into it also to display with it. I am not even into Star Wars myself, never watched any of the movies even. My wife is the one into it and have a couple sets (Yoda, Groku, BB8). So I am paying to have a table made for her sets, so I can have more space in my display case to buy more of the F1 cars. The table costs more than I can buy the Redbull F1 car for right now though, but that will have to wait I guess.

Watch this space for when table arrives and 75192 is built.

I'd forgotten 75192 was released so long ago. If I was asked to bet my life on a date I would have said 4-5 years ago. Time has gone by so quickly.

I think the longest I had a set in a box before building it was the Batman Tumbler 76240 and that lasted about two and a half years before I built it.

Can't wait to see the table when you have it built!

Wont be anything mad like you see online where people go all out. Waiting for him to send me the design and dimensions so i can figure out what else i can squeeze in there with it. But yeah, glad to finally be a step closer to building it after 8 years of no progress.

I might go to Smyths tmw, does anyone have the code list for the minifigs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,530 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

If you download this, it shows the pics of the minifigures in the boxes.

Saw you sold it. Kinda wish to someone else as that person is a lego reseller and will wack the amount up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,864 ✭✭✭g0g

Yeah I hear you. Was hoping it might be a dealer who also collects and builds some of the sets, but you're probably right. But rather than become the Adverts police I sell to the first person who offers asking and has positive feedback.

Ahhh yeah you have to go with 1st come 1st served, like you say shame not a collector instead of a seller.

Would anyone have any idea what the Sonic the Hedgehog controller is worth? I know it was pretty popular when it came out, and I have one that is unopened, and for which I have no interest in, so was thinking of seeing if I can sell it.

I say 40 to 50 euro seems to be price on ebay. Bricklink from 20 euro and about a 10er on some of them posted. So not sure if you stick it up for 20 or 30 as you can say thats what shipping is if getting from Bricklink.

I got a subscription to Blocks magazine and they just sent me an email saying there is only 2 issues left in my subscription and don't I want to renew my subscription for a year.

Ive enjoyed getting the magazine, but really, there is not a whole lot in it.

My reasoning for getting the printed magazine was to avoid adverts, but half the magazine is adverts, and the rest is lego sets I either can't afford, have no interest in, or sets from my childhood I really wanted and could technically buy now on bricklink or something but they cost $$$. Im also running out of room.

So I think Im going to say no to renewing my subscription.

I like the new JP fossil, it would go nice with the T-Rex, but I honestly don't have anymore room. If only I could win the Euromillions!

Yeah I am more or less hitting peek lego that I can own myself. Hardly any room left myself.

I think I passed that stage a while ago but still keep buying, although I haven't bought anything in a while. Considering using some Insiders points and picking up the Peanuts set

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,530 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Nice looking set. Yeah i have slowed down alot now. Used my insider points and got the 3 and 1 creator castle set other wk. Only had to pay 25. Picking up more picks and pieces pieces at moment. I like the tin tin set coming out.

Son had the corbi Churchill tank. A little bit harder to click together but I enjoyed building it. Shame lego don't do military.

I love their ships, (I have the HMS Victory, Tirpitz Limited Edition, & U.S.S. Missouri), but found their planes not so great. I had the Dambuster edition of the Lancaster Bomber take a nose dive off of the shelf it was on and the bricks actually broke. Also have the Flying Fortress but the wings just don't really come together I find.

They are quite a pain to make though, particularly the Victory, had some very sore fingers after that one!

That's a deadly collection now. Very impressive. The tank threads will hurt your fingers i remember that now.
