I'm happy the team got the result they needed today. And that they showed ruthlessness in the second half.

But anything less than a victory today would have been a complete disaster, so let's follow this by beating Chelsea.

Gyokeres played very well, but that should be the standard, not the exception. Let's see how he does next game when he's not up against a makeshift opposition. I want the guy to be a success. He looked focused and on it today, even before the goal - let's see that in the next game too.

This Spurs team are bad. They're in danger of relegation 100%

I think he's been largely fairly poor but only 4 players in the premier league with more goals than Gyokeres this season now. Eze Arsenal's second top scorer in the league this season too and he's been just as bad.

    🤷🏻

10 goals this season isn’t bad so far

Gyokeres really is a sweet striker of the ball. We just need to get him making more shots. His accuracy and conversion rates aren't overly bad, he just doesn't shoot enough.

We need to feed him the ball more rather than trying to walk it into the net, it doesn’t help when he has two to three players on him at times

It's the first time I've sort of said 'hmmm they are actually in trouble' alright as I normally don't pay attention to them closely aside from NLDs obviously

It's lovely to win but I'm still not convinced. The Wolves game hurt me that badly. Spurs are an absolute mess at the moment, we benefited from a very soft foul which would have made it 2-2, which would have been a very different game.

One game at a time. Chelsea up next.

Yes, I feel the same way. Great to win, but it's not a statement win as far as I'm concerned. That Spurs team is as weak a team as Arsenal have faced all year - Wolves were superior to them.

Win a few on the bounce and we'll see... But that Wolves result was so pathetic that I'm not ready to trust this team again for a while.

It only becomes a statement if they can follow it up with a win against Chelsea. Then it’s a case of matching City’s results until they play them. Wolves game has me doubting they can but who knows

No, the only thing that will build trust is a proper winning run again; but that spurs team is so shít a nervy close win would have just eroded confidence further. They played a really poor team and beat them 4-1, job done and move on to the next one now.

    Delighted! That is all.

Henry scored 8 prem goals in his first season and drogba got 10 so I wonder will the media ease up now on gyokores being a flop.

Todays result was a statement win but it won’t feel like it for arsenal fans because it’s still kind of squeaky bum time for the rest of the season, every game is a cup game

What do we think of Tottenham ?

I'll never take beating that shower for granted and to beat them by 3 at their place will always be sweet no matter what the circumstances. Agree that the wolves capitulation has taken away our confidence in the teams ability to close this out and we need a run of wins to ease that result out of our recent memory but that was as good a start to achieving that as could be expected so have to be thankful for that at least.

Chelsea is the next cup final, anything less than a win & the win over spurs will have been nice but practically worthless other than for bragging rights in North London.

Gabriel was so lucky to get away with that "push" in the back.

it’s a very high risk approach and considering he was stung before. Was a foul but no way enough for him to hit the deck.

He done it twice against Newcastle previously previously when Woltemade scored, and he also done it when the ball "went out" too.

Neither of them worked in his favour so it's frustrating to see him continue to do it.

It's not a very smart tactic, it's cost Arsenal before and it will do again if he keeps doing it.

His second goal is the pass he thrives on, using his strength to hold off the defender en route to goal. Tippy tappy passing the ball around the box….waste of time playing him.

I listened to Freddie ljunberg today speaking about gyokores and he is sure with eze providing the balls it will work for him.

The man is a serious unit and the total opposite of Henry who’s light of foot and will dance and players with the ball was another of his observations

Henry scored 17 goals in his first Premier league season, AFAIK.

There were a lot of players considerably off form yesterday. I thought Timber, Saliba and Gabriel were playing below their form. Trossard and Saka below their best too. I know we won handily enough in the end but we need all players at their best for the last 10 games.

Timber has been off it for a while, if White is fit he should be starting ahead of him imo.

He was a total liability for the last two games.

but mikel doesn’t usually react to what the world can see, it’s all about if ur one of the lads or not

White wasn't fit enough for the bench yesterday, so doubt it. Anyway, I think Hincapie was great yesterday. We have a lot of cover there now.

As for Gabriel and the push. Firstly, I see a lot of people not mentioning the fact that the forward actually did a 2 handed push on Gabby, that is giving the referee a decision to make. Don't have hands on and it's a goal. Secondly, Gabby had just begun to jump when he was pushed, so I've no idea how he's supposed to be strong against that when his weight is not even on his feet! It's bodily mechanics! For me, it was a foul and a correct free out. I cried foul even before the ball reached the forward.

Anyway, lovely warm glow today. Did any of you hear about the stadium announcement before the game yesterday?

Hopefully not having a mid week game (must be the first week in a couple of months?) will give the players a much needed rest. Timber definitely looks like he was running on fumes yesterday until he was subbed. Fixture list becomes hectic again after the Chelsea game. At least Man City will be in the same boat.

anyone else see the clip online of a spurs fan holding a phone up to Declan rice before the corner ? It really got to him and he spoke about it to Saka at the end of the match.

Spurs fan was showing him a photo of his wife and taking the pi55, scummy thing to do

The irony being it's likely the closest that fan will ever get to an actual woman

I saw that happening over in the left corner in the first half. He wasn't a kid either.
