no and I was waiting on it, I was a premium x subscriber but when I stopped paying it got noticeably worse, paying for chat gpt at the moment, it’s a bit sterlile but grok is heading that was as well. Might switch back if it’s available in the car. She sounds nicer, a bit more human.

I picked up my AWD last Friday and it didn't have the black headliner and upgraded screen - by the VIN it was a 2026 manufactured car

Just to reply to my own post yesterday, I have now got a delivery date next Friday 27th February in afternoon at Baldonnel. I would have preferred Cork, but that would have been about 5 days later and my trade in expires on 28th.

Was talking with Cork earlier and a shipment arrived into Dublin Port yesterday morning, I only received my VIN yesterday due to a customer deferral. The spec was the same as my order (RWD Premium, no extras) so rather than them putting the car on inventory they phoned me to see if I was ready.

What did they offer you for a trade in after Eagerv?

Any recommendations on floor mats/retractable parcel shelf for 2026 model y standard?

I got floor mats on Ali-Express. You could also try Amazon. There's a parcel shelf in the car as standard.

I don't think the base Model Y RWD has a parcel shelf, not sure if the side supports are there either.

Edit. It looks to have the side supports alright.

does the premium and standard long range rwd have different battery, I’m curious how you drop €3200 odd in extras and get less range. Surely the parcel shelf might get you a 1km or two.

We dont have the standard LR battery visibility yet, need to see orders and spec codes to determine

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,885 ✭✭✭eagerv

Just got confirmed my new Model Y due for collection next Friday has the updated 16" QHD screen. They could not confirm whether black or white headliner but presumably has black. (Not worried either way)

My VIN serial no is 82XXXX, may be a help to others with a VIN.

IPB12 is the new code which aligns with the black headliner and 16" screen build

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,885 ✭✭✭eagerv

Where do you check that? On Source code mine shows IPB7

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,873 Mod ✭✭✭✭slave1

IPB is the type of structural battery pack, 7 is the revision number

It's a while since I've looked at an order page, there are a few methods to tear your order into detail, google mrproper which is the best albeit you have to share some data

I think I will wait and see when I get to car. They did say they have heard of new screen but old headliner due to cars being built at changeover time.

Plenty of Y in stock now, seem to have the black headliner.

no base model y though. Premium and performance have the black lining

I don't know what's going on with my car. I had a VIN since late Jan, 814XXX, have been following the process at the tesla-status.mrproper.dev, which reads the tesla source code page, and all was going well until about two weeks ago. The odometer kept advancing in small steps but then the delivery readiness steps began to disappear and the arrival date kept being pushed up.

I was supposed to have the delivery on 18th Feb, but got an email a few days before that the delivery won't happen until the end of March. The VIN disappeared from my order around that time and based on the 3rd party site all of the data has been cleared. The VIN still remains there but I suspect that this car has been delivered somewhere else instead.

There is one white AWD for grabs in Ireland ready to be delivered but I don't want another white Tesla so not going to request it.

Have a chat with your delivery advisor. I know it's difficult to talk to an actual human, but in my recent experience they have been very good at a prompt call back when requested by txt.

Much easier to get actual information over the phone, they seem reluctant to give much via txt.

I wonder if there was some light shipping damage or other reason why they are holding back? Normally it is in their interest to get the cars out the door as fast as possible.

When you say the mileage is increasing, I presume the figure you showed is now? Appears normal when moving cars around. I was told mine (Next week collection) is at 4kms.

I have been talking to one particular guy, first name starting with V. He says all is in order. I actually know another person who ordered within a week from me, same spec, and has been following up with their advisor and they are in exactly the same limbo. Wonder if it's to do with the new blue colour.

Potentially, same blue order for mine too, also chatting to V.

    Time Will sort it out

It will all come together at somestage, hopefully with the latest updates. I presume you are Dublin? I was dealing with an older fella from Cork, JF, who I have met previously and must compliment him on his friendly efficiency. He may be the boss or close to it in Cork.

Waiting is difficult, but not knowing is worse. 1st world problems I suppose..

Just had my first ranger experience today for some recall bits that I noticed when pricing up a wheel rotation (decided not to be lazy and do it myself ) what a class service .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 675 ✭✭✭Foreign Sports

Great stuff. How do you check what recall items are needed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,140 ✭✭✭✭Cyrus

It just showed up when I made a request for the tyre rotation!

Actually looking at picking up a model y.

Was originally looking a stealth grey premium long range rwd model y.

But apparently delivery may only be from May or June.

Wanted to trade in my as early as possible as I'm doing crazy mileage a week and I know the value is dropping weekly.

I see they have a "new inventory" on there website.

They have a quicksilver one for a couple grand more, but seems it will be delivered soon.

Can you tell if it is the newer version with bigger screen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,885 ✭✭✭eagerv

According to the pics it is the latest spec, but I wouldn't trust the pics for inventory as they are using the latest pics as for new orders.

If you had a VIN then you could check some of the specs through the Tesla Parts Catalogue. They put a green dot or tick beside the parts relevant to your VIN in case you need to reorder. I have just checked mine (Collection next week) and for example it shows 'Mammoth Black' sunvisors, so looks likely I have the black headliner. But shows the two screen sizes, though Tesla have already confirmed it has the larger one. Hope they are correct..

Only way to get a vin is to put down a deposit on the car and cancel or defer collection if spec not to your liking. Or get on to an advisor first to check the spec of an inventory car, unfortunately by which time the car may be gone.

Edit. It shows the two screen sizes both with a green dot probably because if you had to reorder then either can be installed.
