I need to but down a base for storing a caravan in the back garden, hoping to do it myself with a bit of help and as cheap as possible. What material would be the cheapest, I'm not worried about esthetics, just need to be functional. Was thinking of putting down 150-200mm 804 as a sub base then some form of gravel finish on top, the gravel finish would need to be big enough to prevent the jockey wheel getting bogged down.

Does this seem like a good plan? What is the best option as a finish on top?
