That goal has been coming. Fully deserved for Wolves. In 2 games against them they've been the better team on both occasions.

    League done.

We deserved that. I could see it coming. Something wrong with the mentality when you throw away a 2 goal lead to a terrible team like Wolves.

    What on earth.

    That's ridiculous.

Arsenal doing their best to hand this league to city. Bottom of the table wolves making us look mediocre on 2 occasions

Urgency now when the game is over. Disgraceful. Every time we have a chance to create a gap we play like this.

A two goal lead dropped to one of the worst teams to ever play in the premier league.

Just completely forget about winning the league. It’s not happening.

Raya at fault for that. Like a headless chicken. Pure blind panic

Said it loads of times. Arteta is afraid to win games, we go a goal up and just sit terrified of conceding and we’ve been caught too many times. He blames the players but it’s him and he’ll not win a league with his negative approach. This part of the season you need to be brave and he’s terrified in games against the poorest of oppositions. He’ll cost us this league

    We are horrible to watch

    There are no words.

Can't watch any more of this. Spurs this weekend doesn't look so good either the way we're playing currently.

At this point, there's no way you could have any confidence that Arteta will ever get Arsenal over the line.

Do yourselves a favour. Its done. Ain't winning any league after that. Even the players know.

This has echoes of the 2-2 with Birmingham in the 07/08 season at an almost identical stage of the season.

Handbags at full time, two goal leads dropped, history repeats…

    Absolute implosion

we just don’t have the mentality to win a title unfortunately. No forwards killing us too. Imagine throwing a title to City in Pep’s last season, don’t even want to imagine it.

I keep saying it but slow-mo football never works for Arsenal. Fast crisp football is how we win. I really don't understand Arteta or why he wants them playing this rubbish slow football.

no way we’re beating Spurs now

With the squad we have, if we don't win this league (and I don't think we will), the problem lies with Arteta. He's like Southgate - a nice man, got us into a new tier but ultimately too cautious and not a winner.

It’s boring to watch sadly. If we’re winning it’s enough as the prize is so big but when results like tonight happen it’s just harder to take.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Pretty much irrelevant now. Cant underestimate the psychological damage that game will have. I slagged off Man City throwing a 2 goal lead away agaisnt Spurs the other week. But thats worse tonight.

I'm absolutely gutted after that I have to say. Feels like a massive blow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,876 ✭✭✭speedboatchase

Yeah, I fully expect that after we drop points against Chelsea and Spurs, City will be on top. And that will be that. Just a few days and the frustration will all be over.

I actually still think Arsenal will win the league. You're still in the best position objectively. I suppose this is where the manager is important and needs to shift the mindset of the players. Tonight is obviously a big slip up but it doesn't have to be terminal.

As someone has said it feels like Birmingham away in 07/08. It wasn't fatal on the day, but you knew in your heart it was over.

I just can't see them winning the league. There's just something missing mentally - tonight was just the latest manifestation of it.

social media black out now for me, the abuse will be off the charts. We were close to been 9 points clear a week ago. Balls

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,973 ✭✭✭emmetlego

That was rock bottom lads and ladies. Just awful. Raya, of all people, panicking like that at the end?? That's a sign. Aside from his goal. Saka was poor, as were all our forwards! This is on the boss, unless there was an illness or something in the camp. 2nd again ole ole looks like nailed on. That is so frustrating. So so so frustrating. I'm deeply upset right now. And I hate the word "bottle"!

Not really. It's in City's hands now and they have us at home.
