I think it’s a great match up and I expect Dubois to win this one coming through the fire.

Wardley-Kabayel great match. Dubois-Wardley style wise and punch wise is very tasty. If Wardley can handle DDs power and put the heat on I fancy him to hurt and hurt and stop DD

Dubois hasn't a great record of coming through fire.

hegovic and Millar put it on him and he was injured against lerena (I think)

Granted Usyk got him out and Joyce smashed his eye socket, shane mcguigan spoke about this recently and said from a young age dubois was knocking people out with ease and he thinks he went in to the joyce fight too confident

But here’s the thing.. vs Millar and Filip, DD was always doing better, being that bit more dominant and in control. It’s much easier to keep fighting in a tough fight when you are the fighter that is getting the better of it and being that bit stronger!!

Wardley is not the type to dominate a fight though, even going back as far as Gorman, his opponents are usually doing well until he knocks them out. I think DDD can come through this.

yes, hence my point about if Wardley can bring heat. He needs to be offensively pressuring DD and getting to him consistently. If Wardley is tame and just tries to do bits here and there he probably loses. DD is a busy offensive heavy hitter.

Bottom line is both are big HWs who can punch. Could be an early nite for either. I do think Wardley takes a better punch though

DD probably will start as favorite!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,277 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

    Fabio Wardley is the 56% slight-favourite at decimal odds of 1.66 (≈ 4/6; -150) versus Daniel Dubois, the 44% underdog with odds of 2.10 (= 11/10; +110)

I’m guessing Wardley is the slight fav because dubois is coming off a defeat to Usyk

I'm confident he's the favourite because he has a granite jaw and Dubois doesn't.

Very close…..hard hard one to call…if it comes down to boxing and both are in it all night, I think DD does the better work throughout. If Wardley goes for it proper and hard, I'd lean with him

Wardley may seem like he has a granite jaw but he hasn't been in with a big puncher like DDD. He is also easily hit. We will see.

Maricio sueliman from the wbc said today that Usyk has been granted a voluntary defence and then he must face the next in line which is Kabayel

Spurs stadium is meant to be fantastic.

I see Wardley and Dubois are for Manchester. I was hoping London and to maybe go.

Anyhow. Wardley is a hard, hard lad but who has really clipped him clean who is a ko renowned boxer? Parker is a points man as is Clarke, Huni hard to say but he did put on a beating. I think that unless Dubois is mentally gone then he’ll be ok and will ko Wardley in the middle rounds. Could be stopped on cuts/bleeding

spurs stadium is not ideal for boxing, the views of the screens are not great, it takes at least 2 hours to leave the ground and get to the station

Dubois to demolish Fab easily enough ……..unless of course he quits like a big baby.

Would love to see Fabio win though.

if dubois gets that ram rid jab going he should get the weak spot opened up on his nose

And apparently Fury won’t have a trainer leading up for his fight, albeit he will have one on fight night

    absolute nonsense that play acting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,277 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

the press conference in itself is nonsense for every fight really, I don’t think Froch would fair well against John fury is they did clash considering he did 8 years for taking a fellas eye out

depends. If it were in a boxing ring with rules I’m with Froch. When he headbuttted Usyk’s guy he bust his own head open.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,282 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Froch absolutely schooled Fury on insta… John Fury shouldn’t be let anywhere near these events. He’s an absolute liabilty, and a real troublemaker. Dangerous messer!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,397 ✭✭✭newhouse87

V funny clip of dillian whyte saying to john fury he thought he was steve bunce. The ultimate male didnt say anything to whyte, typical coward when dealing with bigger guy.

it’s all bluster to get people talking and it’s working, a man in his sixties is not really going to have a tear up with a man in his forties, the entire thing was likely orchestrated by someone at Netflix
