Some crazy rumours on the usual sites doing the rounds which probably aren't accurate more than likely just the usual s hit stirrers but it is a very strange circumstance at the moment. El Paso is still a city of some 1 million people to make a decision like that at the drop of a hat is bizarre unless there is a serious threat.

Can't stress how unusual this is tbh.

Is immigration under Trump a successs? . The numbers that have been sent ‘home’ should not be seen in isolation . What about the ‘unintended consequences’ eg :-

    (1) The jobs that these individuals did were, in the main, menial and low paid in the US WORKER eyes . AND IF THEY ARE NOT FILLED BY nATIVE AMERICANS then this must have an impact on the businesses they worked in.

    (2) And if the above businesses want to stay in business they will have to pay more

    (3) Andbecausss of TWO above this will impact on price increases

(4)/ The remaining labour force re immigrants, anyone of colour other than white, anyone who speaks a foreign language are now FEARFAUL and may not report for work/ their work schedule is upset, etc, etc, etc. this must impact on the reduction in efficiency/ business output

The cruelty is the point. If they lower the numbers and the issue goes away, they have nothing to campaign on. Same as the Brits and their absurd Rwanda plan.

While understandable - and I have to stop myself from using the analogy - it is lamentable that ICE is described as a latter-day SS or Gestapo.

Perhaps in the not too distant future the convention and comparison will reverse.

The Gestapo? They were like a German version of ICE.

It is absolutely wild/crazy. Even EMS & Air Ambulance flights are grounded and if you include Ciudad Juarez and the metropolitan/rural population covered by the shutdown of both airports?
It's probably closer to 2.7million people affected.

Yes, more than likely. If I had to guess I'd say some sort of cross-border op to capture/kill a cartel bigwig.

Well the Pentagon Pizza Tracker doesn't seem too amped about it just yet.

The lad should take a hint from the lack of "Thanks" support on everything he posts and give it a rest…

    It's tiresome

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Millions of people are in the same situation - hardly a surprise given there are an estimated 170 million people in the US workforce. Treating these overstayers (some who have been in America for 20 or 30 years) like hardcore criminals seems bonkers and extremely vindictive.

They screwed up widely by letting Harris run tbh but that's history. It's vital they get the candidate right in 3 years now.

A couple of important things to know. There are many cases where people have disappeared having been grabbed off the streets. Culleton is actually lucky in that regard. It seems common that even people who agree to being deported are detained indefinitely. There is of course no data on this.
There are two likely reasons why the entire situation looks irrational:

a). There is no system or control of who is being targeted, or who is being detained. This is why people are “disappearing”. There are multiple reports of agents walking through detention sites asking detainees if they know the location of other people. There are multiple reports of people being moved without any record.

b). The detention centers are largely being run by for profit companies. They, like the privately run prisons, are paid based on head count. They have no incentive to deport or release anyone.

Overall she lost about about 1 million votes. What if she's the candidate in 2028? Would you still endorse the GOP candidate, likely to be Vance?

I don't think they did. Trump is a fascist and racist among other things. God knows what revelations are to come. If Americans preferred this to a competent candidate then the problem wasn't Kamala Harris.

America is a deeply misogynistic society, after a woman lost to Trump in 2016 they needed to read the room better. It was more important than Trump was beaten than getting a woman into the White House.

I wouldn't endorse any republican candidate. What makes you think i would?

To me, this says more about the US and Americans than it does about the democrats. A lot more.

Trump won 2016 because the woman was Hillary Clinton. She was a disastrous candidate and a lot of people were put off voting for her or simply didn't vote because she was Hillary Clinton, rather than just because she was a woman (I'm sure there were some of those too obviously).

She came across as entitled and arrogant, and largely dismissed Trump as a serious candidate.

I'm not disagreeing but democrats should have known that also and didn't read the room and now here we are with three more years of a circus instead of a leader. Anyway it's just going over old ground now and unfortunately the world is stuck with it.

Joe Rogan is a socially liberal man and holds views from the left and right. One of the most influential podcaster's. If he invites both candidates and your rival takes up the offer you should too unless you're completely out of your depth in a less controlled environment. Kamala and Rogan would have agreed on a lot of things.

If Trump was proven to have participated the line would be "our glorious leader only raped them so he could continue to gather information on the culprirt".

The MAGA defenders of Trump really are the most ludicrous individuals to ever exist. They make Comical Ali sound like Nelson Mandela. What makes this so frightening is they actually have power

Rogan is a grifter. Nothing more. He can pretend to he a truth-seeker all he wants but this was his agenda from the start.

I can only assume certain posters own a factory specialising in bullseye glass?
As there are a lot of windows being licked in that gaff!

Why did they put women in these positions then if there were men who stood a better chance of winning. Imagine they put forward a woman instead of Gavin Newsome just for DEI reasons. The republicans would be laughing all the way to the polls.

Joe Rogan frequently pushes absolute nonsense just cause it's the last thing that was said to him. This included pushing vaccine misinformation and that's not the only medical misinformation he's pushed. Other claims he's pushed include litter boxes for children who identified as cats.

So he might be popular but he's very much so a major contributor to making nonsensical claims mainstream and this has often been outright dangerous.

There are other routes not just the honourable one which I'm assuming your wife took. There's a huge increase in what are essentially economic migrants arriving here and claiming asylum because they know how hard it'll be to force them to leave. Even criminals who eventually are given a deportation order are asked to leave which puts Irish citizens are risk when many simple refuse. America doesn't mess around like that. If they catch you they'll detain and start the deportation process.

He like any other stoner will talk a lot of waffle but that waffle could be left, right or centre so it's a level playing field. He's entitled to his opinion and I've a funny feeling a competent candidate like Newsome would easily hold his own with Rogan and not only that could win him over and a lot of his viewers.

Nonsense. It'd be that those women lied about their ages and that Trump deserves sympathy and is the real victim.

    He's just asking questions man...
Like, the people have gotta know why and he asks the cleverest people, with the best research and doesn't push an agenda at all /s

I am at a loss as to just how many people buy Rogan's bullshít.
He has crafted a wonderfully profitable character for himself and shills it superbly.
That the bullshít he peddles is swallowed most often by those who are "independent thinkers" and proponents of "Do Your Own Research" speaks volumes.
Imagine outsourcing your thinking to Rogan and his guests?

All while convincing yourself of your free mind…
