Velux window leaking

    Hi Boardies,

I have a centre pivot Velux window that’s leaking from halfway down the frame. I removed it, cleaned it and siliconed the outside screws but it’s still letting in water. Does anyone know WTF? The first picture is the wet frame from half way down, the second picture is the top part which is dry.

DIY is probably the wrong place for this but this site isn’t too user friendly (especially for dummies like me)

    Thanks

Check with Velux. I have heard they are very good with regards to aftersales service.

How are your gutters? My velux were letting in water, gutter down pipe was badly blocked. In spots on the gutters, the rainwater was a like a tap coming down on the slates and velux. Cleared the down pipe, gutters running clear and no leaks since.

I siliconed the shite out of it and it’s better but not perfect. I think I will get on to Velux, thanks for the advice.
