The Mexican town of Los Algodones, Baja California, in a corner just west of Yuma, AZ. From the centre of town, you can go any of the four cardinal directions and hit the US border

They don't include screens/phones/social media. That would cover the whole continent.

i thought france had banned domestic flights where a rail option that took less than two and a half hours was available? maybe that doesn't apply to paris-lyon.

edit - the ban is specific to paris orly to lyon.

Nice airport is the only airport in France that doesn’t have flights to Paris. No idea why

EDIT: I read this the other day and only bothered to check now. There are flights from Nice to CDG

Connections are still allowed I believe.

Pre TGV they had a huge domestic network with a hub in Clermont Frerand, airport is now vastly too big for it's current and future traffic.

That's also the only reason Madrid Barcelona still exists - clear security fast in the nice domestic terminal in Barcelona and do a quick connection at Madrid to the hundreds of destinations Barcelona doesn't have flights to. You don't fly to actually go to Madrid city.

I think this came up before, and the number of people flying those routes is significantly less than the number of people on the equivalent rail routes. 13.78 million rail passengers between Barcelona and Madrid in 2023 compared with 1.8 million air passengers in 2025 for example (says Google)

Map and vertical cross-cross-section of the Rogfast tunnel under construction along the West Coast of Norway, connecting Stavanger with Bergen on the E39 route.

It is the longest and deepest road tunnel ever built, plunging almost 400 metres below the mouth of several fjords.

And here's a cross section of this very impressive feat of Nordic engineering!

It's mad to see how much it costs Norwegians to tunnel through solid rock compared to say the Port Tunnel.

All of February and March have the same days with the same dates except in Leap Years. I was in the waiting room for a medical appointment on 19th February a few years ago. A woman presented her letter to the desk, only to be told it said 19th March, same day of the week. It is a thing which could catch people out.

Not necessary truth, way to much "englification" influence.
Post soviet countries including russia, have names, potentially more reflecting "traditional" language among 40-50+ generation.
"Olandija" - LT, potentially LV (baltic lang. group)
"Голландя", "Галандыя", "Голландія" (Golandia) - RU, BY, UA , "Hоllаndia" in other slavic lang. members as Poland, Chech, Slovak , etc depending on alphabet in use.
