    Hi,

Hope someone can help on the installation process for Virgin Media Fibre broadband

    1. Do they set up the ONT inside the front room or can it be placed in a middle room ?
    2. If not, can they run a connection from the ONT in the front room to the Modem in the middle room

    Appreciate any advice and guidance

    Many thanks

If it's Virgin through Virgin's own FTTP, there's no ONT installed. The fibre patch cable connects from the NTU directly to the router.

You can't use your own router without the use of a WAS-110 etc. and the Hub 5x doesn't have modem mode.

If it's Virgin through NBI or SIRO then a normal ONT will be installed.

You can get Sky and Vodafone through Virgin FTTP, a normal ONT is installed then.
