Internal wall insulation cost

    Have a builder already on site. He's offering to do an extra of 38sqm of wall insulation for 6000 incl Vat. Includes taping and new 2 window boards, plastering. Seems excessive to me. Standard bedroom walls. House built 1998..What's others views

    So insulated slab I presume. So 38m. Plus 12mm slab.

    How many rooms?

    2 rooms. Both rooms have 2 external walls. Spec is 82.5mm insulated plasterboard. Includes taping, window boards, plastering. Includes stripping and skipping. 36sqm.

    Seems a bit on the high side, he may haggle if hes already onsite and doing similar work. Why is he stripping the walls if theyre going to be slabbed

    Sorry Read it wrong originally. So say 15 slabs at €80 each. Add fixings, plastering or jointing, window reveals and boards, skirting, adjusting sockets etc. Shouldn't come to anywhere near that figure imo.

    Very high, I got around 22 boards installed for about half the price just before Christmas. Which included adding additional insulation to window cavities.

    May have worked out cheaper as I supplied materials and got plaster and painter seperately.
